So, I've been wanting to get another lately! Woo. I'm going to school for nursing and I would like something that I won't eventually have to take out or that I can easily hide/ disguise. I just want something comfortable and that accents my facial features/ other piercings, so I wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions. I'm not going to explain my preferences because I'm just lookin to learn some stuff and would appreciate some input. ;o

Here's some picture's of mah face:

Tried to pick out a few that show them all together: nose stud on left side, septum, lip on right side, microdermal by my eye.

I just wanna say something I absolutely will not get done: eyebrow, cheek piercings xD

Feel free to ask any questions concerning piercings also. I'd be happy to help you out ; )!

I used to have a septum and I really enjoyed it. I eventually took it out because it was incorrectly pierced so it ripped + I didn't like how big it was on my face. I would recommend it to someone up for it who wants a piercing that's easy to hide, you can just flip it up.

But here's the thing...Most piercings really aren't easily hide-able is my concern for you, and even the ones that are, you can't hide until it's healed which is about 2 - 3 months depending. You want your piercing to breath and putting makeup, a bandage, or anything ontop of it will make it a breeding ground for bacteria. The reason my septum ripped is because I wanted to hide it from my parents so I kept pushing it up in my nose and it eventually over time ripped itself and never fully healed even after 2 years.

Now looking at your pictures I'm a bit confused. You have the piercings you listed still? Are you allowed to have visible ear piercings?

Ping me please I'll respond more quickly ;o Yes, the piercings I listed are all current. Right now I can have my ears pierced as much as I want them for now, I'm just looking at facial piercings here. I've had many piercings and am well versed on the aftercare and healing processes.. I am seeking advice for which piercings would best fit my face and go well with my other piercings.

Sorry if I was unclear >.<

Eyebrow and lip piercings are extremely trashy, so maybe your ears or maybe the back of your neck? You can always get the clear ones, you know

I don't agree that eyebrow and lip piercings are trashy. I've seen many people look nice with both, and I enjoy my lip piercing. I think it's rather rude that you'd even say that after I stated I have my lip pierced. When I created this I was looking for someone with more knowledge about piercings and/or suggestions for what would look good on me personally... not people to tell me whats "trashy." I realize I probably won't find that here, so I'll go ahead and have this locked.

I know you're looking for personal advice on piercings which unfortunately I can't offer seeing as I have none but I do remember Chit Chat and the Issues and Advice forums have had threads about piercings in the past. If you dig a little you may be able to find helpful things there. Also I don't think your piercings are trashy, it's your body and you are entitled to decorate it however you please plus piercings are easily taken out if you need them to be less visible so no they're not trashy at all in my opinion.

I know you've asked for this to be locked, but I'm going to jump in quickly (hope you don't mind).

First up, you're piercings look fabulous (mine are pretty much the mirror image of yours, except I've got a couple extras in my lip and no dermal :D). I'm always a fan of unsymmetrical facial piercings, so I like the way you've gone with them. I think a lip piercing on the opposite side would look quite nice though. Beyond that, since you're avoiding your eyebrows, I think anything more would make your face look bottom heavy (okay, that's a sucky way of pointing it, but you get what I mean).

I would say though, that it'll be hard for you to keep any of your facial piercings if you're going into nursing. I don't know what kind of standards they have around the world, but here they seem to be cracking down on piercings in that sort of line of work. I guess they're catching on to how many torn piercings occur - my cousin-in-law has horror stories about how many of his had been torn out. Of course, that depends on your specific work - he worked with emergency patients and later with psych patients, so obviously he was more likely to have a patient thrashing about and catching them.

That's not to say you shouldn't get more and enjoy them now though!
