Hi there! I am a 24-year-old literate advanced roleplayer seeking others of the same type for one on one roleplays. I prefer roleplaying through email and messenger, though I can use whatever you require. I have listed below my likes and dislikes to make seeing if we will be a good fit easy for you (you don't have to read it all XD). There's also more information on my profile, and a lots of roleplaying examples below. To sum up: I'm a really good writer and an extremely nice person. If you are, too, we should hang out! XD Haha.

Things I love <3 Literacy <3 Detailed writing, creative/clever plots, originality <3 Furry Anthro (especially Subeta pet and Neopet) <3 Romance (between opposite genders only) I don't like instant, unrealistic romance or extreme and constant smut. I like to draw the curtain and give the characters some privacy if it progresses beyond kissing. ^^ But I pretty much live for love stories. I'm a big romantic. XP <3 When you are online a lot during the day, before evening, on weekdays! (Yeah I know, during school and work time. :X If you happen to be one of those oddballs like me, a stay at home wife or whatever your situation is that makes you be on online during the day, that is the IDEAL time for me)* <3 Action/adventure (pirates, space, pretty much everything) even romance gets boring without this, of course! ^^ <3 Friendly, honest, understanding roleplay partner who works with me easily and likes to OOC chat <3 Frequent replies (especially during the day on weekdays!) though I understand this is difficult, and that's totally fine. If I'm really into the roleplay, I'd LOVE at least one reply a day, but again, I understand and I don't want you to feel stressed by it if you're too busy. <3 Older roleplayers (I will give anyone a chance, but the older you are, chances are the better I will like your writing) <3 Smilies in OOC XD <3 External add-ons are fun! Such as songs that pertain, mentions of characters on TV/in books/etc that influenced your character and roleplay. <3 Being told if you like something I wrote <3 <3 Interesting characters (the dullest character can be awesome if written by a good enough writer, but it's cool when a character can drive a plot, too, just by their existence.) I love more-than-meets-the-eye, complex characters, powerful characters, usually that aren't completely mean. I like robots, mythical beings or anything else creative, but I also like plain, normal people who are deep and roleplayed creatively.
<3 If you're an artist and you do art of our characters, THAT IS THE COOLEST THING EVER. Just sayin'. :D * <3 Roleplaying through email and/or messenger <3 When the other person does the intro. I am capable of doing the intro, but I tend to write too much and then get disappointed when the other person posts, realizing it wasn't worth all the effort I put into it. So if you're willing to start us off, I would really appreciate that. (And I promise to reply in a way that is worth your effort. XD)

Things I don't love </3 Illiteracy </3 Repetitious plots </3 Human roleplaying is more difficult and less enjoyable for me, though I am willing to try it if you are an awesome enough writer ^^ </3 Slash (romance between same genders. I won't do it, not gonna' happen, sorry. I'm not a hater. It's just not my thing, mmkay?) </3 Roleplaying partners who aren't friendly or personable </3 Roleplays that aren't fun for me (I reserve the right to drift away from a roleplay, though I am willing to work with you and really give it a chance! My life is a little difficult and I really just can't stick to roleplays that I don't enjoy.) However if I don't reply it doesn't necessarily mean that I don't enjoy the roleplay. I could just be overwhelmed with life. ^^ </3 No replies for no good reason when I've expressed that I'm really enjoying the roleplay </3 When a roleplay partner won't tell me they're not enjoying the roleplay if they're not and I am. I want a chance to help make it better for you, or at least to know that you don't want to continue. </3 When the same character gets in the same kind of trouble, over and over, and there's nothing my character can do about it </3 Godmodding, powerplaying, etc, obviously. </3 People who get offended/mad/grumpy often. I send you all my love and compassion, but I ain't gonna' deal with it. </3 Disturbingly detailed and heinous crime/gore/darkness. Zombies/dead things=gross. That said, I'm all for fighting, mortal wounds, all that.
</3 Completely dark/evil characters, bad murderers, etc. Though petty crime is completely fine, and who doesn't love a loveable anti-hero?

Roleplaying Examples

My character, Doll, meets a robot (short) Doll must have stared at him with her baby blues widened for a full minute. "Uh, sure..." she finally said, not unkindly, softly placing her furry, organic paw in his metal one. She marvelled at the touch.  This would certainly be the first time she danced with a robot. Not danced the robot, which she had tried often and failed miserably at.  She made a mental note not to use that dance move as an ice breaker, since it might be seen as a distasteful joke.  Clive, Doll's brother, distracted as he was with Lady, had caught wind of what was happening, and was laughing hysterically, holding his sides as mirth overtook him.  His fedora had even fallen off, but he hadn't made a move to pick it up again as he bent over, enjoying his sister's predicament a little too much.

"I'm Doll, or Dollista, I guess, if you like," she said, rambling a bit, being extremely unnerved when she stared into his big glowing green eyes.  She was fascinated by him, his shiny surfaces were beautiful, and he appealed to her almost in the way that a pair of clearly high-end shoes would, but it was awkward, treating an object like one would a human, for she wasn't sure if he was an object or not. She didn't mind getting to know him, but she could be a bit shy at times outside of work.  Furthermore, it felt a little bit like getting punked, being made to dance with him, and she doubted that she would ever be able to maintain a friendship with Lady now, who would probably tease her, though she assumed that Petunia would handle it graciously.

Eloquence (I succumb to somewhat philosophical, musing drabbles often. You have been forewarned.) ...It was interesting how they were two people bent on hiding their tender sides, though they did it in completely opposite ways. He with his scaly exterior of evil and danger, her with her goodness and altruism. They were both destined to fail, though, at their life goal of hiding who they truly were, as they collided, exploding against each other like bomb shells, exposing their innards, scattering themselves to the wind, creating destruction out of their perfectly ordered existences, and therefore, rebirth. At their centers, these two quite different creatures were actually very much the alike. The same matter, the same material, the same longing for something more than what they got out of the dynasties they had build for themselves - around themselves - the same self-denial. And understandably, they were drawn to each other, like magnets with polar cores.

Neopets Faerie Encounter (long & glitched) The Eyrie let out a low whistle and said, quietly, "Holy smokes, Rick, you're trying to kill me.  You know as well as I do that I know what this instrument is for, and you don't," he said, jabbing it playfully at the older man, his eyes twinkling. "Actually, I do believe it's an old piece from Moltara...you can check the inscription right there...and therefore, it's worth quite a bit more than what you quoted me for the whole box, if my guess is correct.  In which case, I can't afford it," he added, placing the random-looking object in Rick's hands. "Take it to get appraised, Rick, and see if I'm not right."  Leviticus' large green paw reached for the worn leather bag, seeing it really for the first time, and wondering what was inside. The tips of his paws brushed it lightly, moving it just a smidge, but probably giving the faerie inside the bottle quite the jostle. While he listened to Rick's response, he distractedly cracked the bag open and reached inside, pulling out the bottle. He held it aloft in his palm, level between his and the shopkeeper's faces. His fingers came up from below the container, forming a type of cage around the glass. His orange eyes would look huge to her, and they were close, separated by two layers of glass. The rich green surrounding his eyes would have been all she could see if she looked his way. His expression was...startled, and then he raised his eyebrows and glanced at Rick for explanation.

....

Leviticus chuckled at the appearance of her miniscule tongue.  "Well aren't you just a lovely cliche, my dear?"  The pixie-sprite's firey temper. He did not underestimate it.  Perhaps that's why he hadn't already cheerfully pulled the cork, and thought foolishly that she would jump out, restored to benevolent faerie freedom and pat him on the head.  He watched her attempting to free herself for a moment, but was unconcerned, as he could see how long the neck of the bottle was, and how deep the cork went into it.  With a sigh, he leaned back into his chair and removed his glasses, rubbing a paw over his face and beak.  He felt old, and tired.  He usually didn't mind.  He felt that he'd had a blessed life, full of interesting people, and even more interesting facts.  He thought things only got better with age, and didn't feel that death was something to be afraid of.  Perhaps because he'd never been in love.  Someone so pleasant, detached, and curious, could have not have ever been in love.  You can never be impersonal about life after tasting what being so attached feels like.  But death was still a long ways off for him, and he was optimistic about finding love.  But now...well, sometimes, all the bad things he had learned about in life did sometimes catch up to him.  Not often, as he was a positive thinker.  But sometimes, when faced with something sad, he felt like this.

He also felt the temptation to keep her.  Something so pretty, magical, and utterly helpless to escape would be his best addition to his collection.  Or he could keep it around to release her at a time when he really needed a little help, after wringing a confession from her that she would do no harm upon release, brought on by desperation from her prolonged captivity.  No doubt that's how most faerie purchasers did it.  No, faerie sellers probably kept the faeries until they were desperate and forlorn before selling them, so that no customers complained about a particularly firey faerie.  But Rick didn't know what he was doing.  After three years of frequenting that store, this was certainly the first faerie he found.  It was this temptation to do the wrong thing that so depressed Leviticus Feint.  He thought to himself, "Really?  Are we really not past this yet?  Not past avarice, and greed, and...and...coveting?"  He heaved a heavy sigh, as if disappointed in himself, which was a worse feeling than being disappointed in all of humanity, and replaced his spectacles.  They rested before the shining curve of his yellow-orange beak, and the thin golden arms nestled into his soft, rich feathers, below the swooping typical Eyrie feather tufts on either side of his head.  He picked up the bottle and headed toward the window.

"Alright, I'm going to let you go, now, okay?"  He queried, speaking louder than necessary, though he didn't know that.  Bottle grasped in one paw, he used the other to crank open a window.  It didn't open very far, plenty for the faerie, but not as reassuring as a wide-open window.  Trying not to think about what could happen, he grasped the cork.  "Brace yourself, madame.  You may be in for a bit of a jolt," he informed her gallantly, before eeking the cork free by jiggling it from side to side.  This saved her the harsh yank that usually accompanied an uncorking.  He eased it carefully from the bottle's narrow opening, and lowered the paw that held the cork.  Perhaps he should have jammed the spout out the window, but to be honest, he was a little transfixed by her, and not wanting to miss what she would do next.

 ....

The Eyrie did not miss her attempt to hold still and co-operate, and he was impressed by it.  "Alright, little one, sit tight," he instructed her, taking her back to his desk and setting her gently on of the leather portfolio which sat on top of it, which to her would have seemed plush.  "Cover your eyes," he told her, large green fingers resting on the knob of the desk lamp, giving her time to cover he eyes, though he flicked it on whether she did or not.  Moments before, he had raised his other paw over her head to filter the light.  When he lowered it, it resulted in a second burst of light less powerful but more piercing than the first, as the big lamp overhead beat down on her like a desert sun.  He turned away, scrounging up a black doctor's bag and withdrawing from it a time-worn, yellowed vial.  When he turned the cap, exerting force thanks to its stuck-shut condition, a foul odor burst from it that could have nearly bowled the little faerie over.  A q-tip went in it, and back on went the cap, though it didn't really help the smell.  "This will make the pain go away, if you're experiencing any," he explained as he leaned over her, this time above her instead of level with her, and he swiped the applicator swiftly and lightly across either side of her damaged wing.  He then straightened and threw the q-tip into an unseen trash bin beneath the desk.  He had unknowingly used too much on her.  Unknowing that even smelling that from across the room would have probably been enough for her little system.  "Alright, splint, splint," he mused.  Anything tiny enough was still too unforgiving.  A matchstick would pierce her wing, a paperclip would be too heavy...  He was rummaging through drawers in the desk, unwittingly rattling her a bit as he shifted contents of miscellaneous items as he sought something suitable.  "Aha," he mused, the light hitting his eye glasses and making them opaque for a moment.  "Tape," he said, looking quite pleased with himself as he brought up the roll of velvety translucent stuff.

***Please note, you do not have to be an artist, on at the same time as I am, or anything. The only deal breakers for me are if you are illiterate, unwilling to do fxm romance (it can be light) and probably if you don't want to do anthro. Also, you don't have to write a super long message to me to ask if we can roleplay! You are welcome to and I love reading about you, but don't feel like you're applying for a job or something. I'm not THAT elite. Sarcasm, sarcasm XD

I'd appreciate if you'd reply here, though you are of course welcome to sMail if you are more comfortable with that.

(( Hiiii. :3 I'm seventeen, and have been roleplaying since I was thirteen. I consider myself pretty literate. Although I prefer the rule "quantity over quality," when I have something to reply to I can crank out up to four paragraphs. As a rule, I try to avoid going longer than that simply because I assume no human on earth has the patience to read that much. For genres, I live for romance, but there has to be a conflict of some kind otherwise it's just a continual makeout session, which is gross and boring. :P I will admit to having a minor affinity for the violent and macabre, but it's easily suppressed, don't worry. ;) I've never done anthro, and while I prefer to play at least somewhat humanoid characters, I love to try new things. :) Do I sound like an accaptable partner?))

`Ello! Don't you mean "quality over quantity?" Hehe. I'd love to try roleplaying with you, though! I like the characters you come up with. So would you be alright with trying furry anthro?

(( I did mean "quality over quantity." -embarrassed- XD I'm totally up for furry anthro...as soon as I know exactly what it means. XD What is the average human-to-animal ratio for a furry anthro?))

Don't be embarrassed, it's totally fine! ^^ This is an example of furry anthro. Of course, some animals can look slightly more human, for example, a cat has a flatter (more human-shaped) face than a canine does. There are also other kinds of anthro, like normal people with ears and tails, but I don't care for that kind. Sound O.K.? So what characters do you have that would work for anthro roleplay?

So it's kind of like an animal with human posture. Okay, I can do that. Um, my Sidney might be good for that. He's a nuclear Fester, so in anthro he'd probably have great big wings and talons for feet (with backwards knees, of course, just because that would look so COOL). And feathers in his hair or something. That's a lower percentage of animal than most of your characters, I think (I took the liberty of looking through your profiles, forgive me). I can come up with something else from one of my other pets if you'd prefer.

Yeah anthro-ifying birds is a bit of a challenge. You can check out Verglace to see how I did it with her. There's also an EVEN more animal sketch of her below her ref there, with a beak and everything. Are you thinking Sidney's arms would be distinct from his wings?

I love your list of loves and hates, since a lot of the time, I see these posts and people will simply post the genre's they like and I don't like personally limiting myself to a specific cliché type of plot like (like, vampires, slave/master, doctor/patient sorta crap). I just like to have characters and explore them and a storyline.

Though I'm very capable of writing a novel, I prefer not to write 5 paragraphs per posting unless there is more than one character to cover the space. Otherwise, I feel there is unnecessary rambling just to make it look long. In fact, unless the rp is amazing, I don't like to read a novel every time I get a reply. lol. (I have a few of those xD, but most times, most rps are a paragraph or two or three long, tops. I try to make intro's lengthy tho, but it doesn't always work out lol.).

The only time I will use a non-messenger outlet for rping is when the other person isn't available often enough to warrant using a messenger- but I will only do dA notes. I can't stand using regular email for some reason. Otherwise, I only prefer using AIM (I've had too much trouble with MSN for me to like using it for rping any more).

Anyways. Just so's you know, I am 32 (today! yay!) and I have been writing for many years and rping online since I was 21, but I've been making up stories and plots and ideas since I was probably... 14?

I'm a very patient rper too. If it takes you time to reply, I'm not harassing. I love to chat with people and I'm a great listener when life comes at you. And, if I love the rp, don't be surprised if I draw up our characters (even if only in sketch) lol. Rp inspires me and gets me excited about my art... just so fun and creative....

Why do I feel like I'm filling out a job application? lol!!

Anyways! Let me know. =D

(( I like Verglace very much, she's very pretty. The beak is a bit much; I feel like it would get in the way in a roleplay. I could anthro-ify BrightAngel pretty easily, too, I think (her character name is Ellie-Beth).

And yes, Sidney would have arms separate from his wings, probably with claws instead of fingernails.))

Yeah I agree, that's why I usually don't roleplay her with a beak. What would Ellie be like? I don't think I can do a bird with wings separate from his arms.

And I also replied to Odduckoasis via sMail, just so nobody think I'm ignoring her. xD

Physically, Ellie-Beth would have the three tails and ears, probably paws instead of feet, but she'd have human hands. And of course, the little Kora gem doohickey on her forehead and obscenely large eyes. If you meant character-wise, Ellie's paranoid and slow to trust, but once she trusts you, she gets clingy. She's a recovering crack addict, so she's twitchy and stuff.

Hello! I'm new to Subeta, but not new to role playing... but it has been quite some time. I used to be a regular on the literate boards on Neopets, but I found after a while the literates all seemed to disappear and fade into their real lives... kind of like myself. Yet now I'm facing my fiance having over-time at work, and school is lacking in creative outlets, so I've returned to the role playing boards to try and find some new people to have wonderful one x one role plays with ^^; Now... In response to your original post.... -Literacy is the name of my game, but it HAS been quite some time since I've written specifically for a roleplay... -I think my favorite thing about role playing is the details that make the characters come alive! A twitch here, and bit of humming there... it's all relevant to the story we're unfolding. -I love love love Anthro role plays, and have modded my newest pets to be applicable as such. -Romance stories are wonderful, and while I'm not against same gender romance, it's personally not my thing. I love the connection between characters, and ultimately the build up - the off, the on, the questionable circumstances... Oh my, I'm a big ol' softy at heart. Even if my characters aren't initially, they are too x3 -My favorite role plays probably have to be criminally/action minded (not coffee shop or anything mundane like that), I enjoy my stories to have a real point - CIA maybe? Something major just occurred and something must happen in order for... something, -I don't know, I haven't come up with amazing plots in years (I apologize for my rustyness...) -OOC chat is something I feel is a necessity. Everyone needs to be happy, and understanding, and if something major is happening in life and replies come short, sometimes the other person can make up for that for a day or two and bam back into the roleplay of equality. OOC also makes for a great place to discuss where on earth we should go with something because let's face it, everyone gets writer's block sometimes. -Roleplays to continue on during the weekdays would be AMAZING, personally my weekends are super busy but I always have a few free hours... yet a break in my 9-5 life style is always great, and I almost always have internet access :3

  • I'm 21 this year, and have been roleplaying for almost 10 years.. Oh the days where sparkly font and barging in was 'cool'.
  • I feel that having your characters be more 'real' is a plus for roleplays, incorporating real songs, television shows, movies, locations, it makes details flow more easily instead of some bizarre off the wall song/show/something reference that causes the initial writer to think one thing, and the responder another... -Compliments are beautiful! -Character creation is an art - I've found while my characters typically have something in common, I have a variety of personalities come out and create themselves into my writing that causes even myself to sit back and say "whoa". -I'm not an artist, but I feel that with the description of my characters, they practically draw themselves in the minds eye ;3 -Email is a GREAT way to roleplay, as at work I have consistent access to it without looking like a total dweeb. -I haven't done an intro in a long time, but if we discuss what we'd like to play / characters / etc, I have no problem coming up with our initial intro :3

....Ohhhh my jeez, now that may all seem random, but I literally copy-pasted your initial 'likes' and commented on them. I feel that your dislikes are basically my own, and if most definitely agree if nobody is having fun, or a roleplay is just kind of dying out, things should probably be discussed / taken care of. I'm not one to just 'stop' role playing, I'll be the someone to say "Well, maybe this isn't working out. Should we try a new plot / new characters / new something, or are we just not creatively clicking?" and I appreciate the same... If somebody doesn't reply, I typically assume it's because life is overwhelming vs. they lost interest in the role play... If they have, I definitely appreciate the notice of 'Hey, not working out' etc. etc.

So after that whole long post.... interested?

I'm 17 (18 in April) and I've been Rp'ing since I was 13 and I wanna be a Journalist/Writer when I go off to college in the fall. SO! Any chance to RP is pratice for me :3 Okay okay okay, there's one small problem though, D: I can't draw for crap! I'm beyond horrible, as a matter of fact, I sometimes dream in stick figures and smilies because that's how much artistic ability I lack! D: D: Oh what a horrible life I live! Cries softly
