Ok, so a little bit ago, Keith gave everyone the ability to have 5 more pet slots! Which is great, but I noticed the preference page doesn't reflect this change. For example:

"Pet Slots Breakdown 10 from pet slot plushies and early totems (max 10). 3 from pet slot loyalty totems. 6 from new slot additions (max 5)."

I got a new pet slot a bit ago, and now it says I have 6/5 - which for me, is alright since I already know about the pet slot addition, but if someone was gone for the change, they might not know about it. So I think the new slot additions should have it updated to say "(max 10)" so that if someone checks the page, they should be able to see that they can get some more slots. c:

Did he? I thought we will get the new slots in November sometime... :o_o:

I don't think the new slots are available yet, because I just tried to adopt a pet, and I got:

"Oh, no! You already have 12 pets!"

Yeah, he did. I bought 5 slots. :x Also this should be fixed.

Oh, okay - they're buying slots, not default slots? That makes sense.

And since I've never brought a slot and probably can't afford the number I could have had before anyway... Well, if I'd known that before I wouldn't have gotten excited.

agrees It would definitely save any confusion for anyone who didn't spot that particular news post :D

Saving up the sP for the csc isn't actually very difficult; it might take awhile, but it's not hard. And I use dialup, so if I can get in a little bit of time to do a few quests each day, I'm sure that just about anyone can. c: Alternatively, you could buy slots during Black Friday, when they're discounted to 1,000csc per slot. You can buy pet slots through a link on the pet page.

Seeing as pet slots are a good chunk of change (to get all 5, you have to spend $100 basically - if not you, someone else), so I was surprised when I found out that nobody updated the page. xD

That looked so silly when I had to explain my issue (site ate 8000 CSC from me when I got my pet slots) and my max was "7 from new slot additions (max 5)."
