It's like 3pm. I'm tired, but I can't take a nap or I won't sleep tonight so I would like to draw instead. Problem is, I'm feeling a sluggish, slumpish mood and my drawing feels like it's going downhill as I'm trying to stay awake for the next five or six hours.

So I drew this preliminary sketch and then decided I was going to make some sucky lines for it and started experimenting with the way I used to draw graffiti words on paper. I got:

Part of me actually kind of likes it and it might be fun to experiment with. So I decided to open up a freebie board.

What I'm looking for! I'm looking for characters I can have a lot of artistic freedom with. Something edgy or maybe tribal but nothing with a lot of clutter in it. I'm looking for characters with image reference (because I'm too tired to get my facts straight with plain description) but maybe one who has an organized character page (like charahub) where I can get a feel for the character unless you don't mind me butchering personalities. I'm also not looking for people to throw 50 characters at me. Just show me one or two please that way I know you're actually up for me experimenting with their character not just tossing all of your characters out to everybody in the freebies forum.

I'm up for humanoid/anthro characters, I haven't gotten my holdings on animals and now is not the time for me to do so! If you want to see what my general art looks like you can find my work here (there might be an NSFW piece or two there) and pretty much anything is fair game in terms of art if you toss up your characters

ummm recommendations as far as;; ideas or something, he's strongly tied to eagles? like i hesitate to use the phrase "spirit animal" (b/c he's not native american) but thats basically what it is orz;; personality-wise he's... grumpy and insecure and reclusive and generally pretty unfriendly but really compassionate/caring when he drops his guard enough to be. he's also ex-catholic uAu

i juuuust finished (mostly) his charahub page, right here it's a bit scattered 'cause this is the first time i've really put all this down on a page; feel free to point out anything confusing or any questions you may have uvu

I red through the whole thing and even if it might be a bit scattered it's actually really great (and I adore the amount of thought you've put into his character) as for anything confusing I'd say Roman and Aki's part in Crow's life are a little fuzzy to me. I understand he was taken into the shinigami ranks and took Crow in but how they met or why Crow really came to live with Roman in particular is unclear as well as when Aki enters/leaves because I did end up reading Aki's page and he has his own physical description and they seem to be friends but I don't see how they'd know each other if they were taking turns in one body? Other than that most of it made sense and a lot of his physical choices became a lot more interesting upon knowing where they were from.

And thank you so much for the present I really adored it and of course I adored drawing Crow for you <3

ahhh well thank you! <3 and thank you for the input too, i'll look into putting more detail into that so it's clearer uvu and just for your reference since you seem curious, crow and roman met just 'cause well... all the winged shinigami basically know each other in one form or another from working together (there's only six of them total), and roman has for most of his life been the sort of person to take people in. he just sort of made a habit of giving sheltered/guidance to lost/struggling younger people, and crow just ended up being one of them.

as for aki, once i put his history in it'll probably make more sense, but essentially he can speak to crow as a sort of voice in his head, and after a certain point in time they're often 'awake' (so seeing/feeling everything that's happening but not being the one physically in control) while the other person is in control, and they often mentally converse and such. aki did eventually get his original body back, but that was only after crow's death (which i didn't write up to on crow's bio), which is why he has a separate description.

You're welcome <3 I think there were just a lot of characters and I probably could have figured it out myself but I got confused (especially since at the time I couldn't find other character pages for them except Aki). I also didn't realize there were so few shinigami or that shinigamis were a real thing before reading Crow's page. Adding the why Roman took him in might help show readers the kind of relationship they have though, that it was fatherly but it wasn't something particularly special it was just something Roman did.

I also would have never guessed that about Aki. I thought it would have been before Crow died because of how they seemed but co-consciousness seems like a better explanation. I feel really bad for Crow though, knowing he dies and all ): I mean I guess all characters die but jeez I just learned about him a couple of days ago!
