I finally know what I want to write as far as my story [rather severa; mini-stories in a book] go. Now I need to flesh out my characters a bit. So I would absolutely love it if everyone would post questions for ME to answer about my characters. [Or rather for them to answer about themselves]. I'm looking for everying simple [e.g. What's your name?] to everything complex [e.g. How would you react to a ____ situation?].
Please be nice. If you cannot give me a decent question to answer, or decent advice, do not post.

Moar help lovelies, lay it on me =3

You should answer in character :D It always seems to help me more than just answering questions as myself. Anyways.. What are your pet peeves?
Can you give a description of your daily routine?
What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?
Do you have any scars, tattoos, or birthmarks?
Name 3 things that you are good at, and 3 you are bad at.
How do you deal with stress?
What is your most treasured possession?
Are you a leader or a follower?
Who would miss you if you died?
Just a couple I pulled from my own character survey :P There's a really good site to find them at if you haven't already used it; it's really expansive. I'll link it to you if you want it.
Let's see....
What is your motivation?
Why should people care about you?
What is your most important trait?
What is your purpose to the plot?
Basic questions: What's your name? How old are you? Where are you from (location)? When are you from (time era)? What sort of social/financial background were you brought up in? What sort of social/financial backgrounds did your parents have? Do you have siblings? Do you have extended family? What are your relationships like with them (each parent, each sibling, each extended member of the family)?
Deeper questions for the char: Do you have a 'code' of conduct? What would make you break it? What would be so 'bad' that you would not be willing to go there 'no matter what'?
Deeper questions requiring input from the author if the char themselves isn't very self-aware: How do you feel about yourself (intelligence, skills, physical appearance)? Do you see ways in which 'lessons' from your parents are still affecting you ('you'll never be good enough' or 'no matter what, keep trying and they won't be able to stop you' that sort of thing) and what are they? Do you turn negative energy inward (blaming self) or outward (blaming 'others')? Do you use negative energy (might be a crit or just stuff going wrong) to motivate you or does it overwhelm you?
Philosophical questions: How do you make your choices (what you believe is right, what is normal, 'it's just how things are done', what is expected of you, some moral code that you feel is above even your personal desires)? How do you feel about that motivation (do you wish you could change, feel justified? If you do not think about the how's and why's is it because of lack of thought, or refusal to think?

-Would you kill for someone you loved? -Dog or cat person? -How do you react when someone insults you? -Do you turn the other cheek or do you fight back?
just a few.
This is actually a really good idea! Good luck fleshing out your characters. It can be really difficult to make them believable.
I'll see if I can find a link to a site I once found. It was one that you had to answer questions for, just like this, to find out if your character was believable enough, and someone who wasn't a complete ego-driven mad man, or a completely innocent killer. Wonderful!
