What are some things you people associate with summer? Do you hate summer, why?

I decided a while ago that my ideal day would be spring in the morning, fall in the afternoon, and winter at night. I just cannotttt do summer and would rather skip it entirely :emo:

The constant buzz of the air con, BUGS, sweltering heat, and a whole list of other unpleasant things about summer . . . I seriously just straight up hate summer.

Also gross temperatures. It should be against nature to be over 100 degrees. Nobody likes it to be that hot. >.>

Edit: Oh, and I can't forget the lovely sight of all the hairy, out of shape, middle-aged men who think mowing their lawns shirtless is okay. Summer is so great. p:

I mean, if they're happy I guess they have every right to be outside letting everything hang out. I think the whole neighborhood would just prefer that they didn't. haha

The least they could do is put 6-10ft hedges around their yard. haha

Most of what I think is from my childhood

Huge fields of lightning bugs (also called fireflies) like we had hundreds of them it was so awesome The smell of manure cuz we lived in the country right around fields XD And swimming in Lake Michigan.

I also think of skunk smells and lots of dandelions lol

- Summer is 2 weeks of bad sledding up here in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. And mosquitoes you can saddle up and ride.

Fireflies are great, but we don't have them here ): Cows, skunks and dandelions... not so much.

Uhg. Mosquitoes... I don't miss those terrible things; they are the epitome of evil, regardless of what people say is worse.

When you grow up with the smells, manure and skunk don't seem so bad lol

I loved how many dandelions would grow in our backyard and I'd spend like an hour picking out the best ones in huge bouquets that I'd bring in the house lol. My fingers would get all sticky and I love the smell of them. Forever arguing that dandelions ARE flowers XD

I guess not, I grew up in a swampy part of a mostly pine forest, so... Different, but still not the best.

Dandelions ARE real flowers, but they're invasive. I'd like my other flowers to actually have a chance to grow as well xD

Where we live now we don't get them much. My mom likes me, me not so much lol. The dirt is like super clay-y and there's a stupid ass walnut tree that makes the soil acidic as shit so maybe they just can't thrive with that XD

I live in a rain forest city now, so pretty much anything can thrive here xD Things grow really well, but where I lived before was like that, nothing could grow unless it was in a box with fancy soil.
