But first I want to clarify that I'm not asking if/when masq is going to happen because I'm a patient person and I know we've all been told it is. I just have a few general questions about the event itself because I've never participated in it before.

1. Is there are a time limit between asking people to dance/dances, like there was in kissing users during pandemic/survival?
2. I know you get trinkets for each dance. How many do you get? Is it one per each dance, or is it random?
3. Also, which trinkets do you get -- ones for the Steamworks Menagerie, or for the Libertine Lounge, or both? This confuses me the most.
4. If my HA is holding an item like or wearing something like or can I still dance, or do I need to be wearing a more typical masquerade mask?

There is a time limit between dances. I can't remember exactly but I think it's anywhere from between 10 and 30 minutes? I could be wrong on that though. The amount of trinkets (and type) you get varies. There are different trinkets for the menagerie and for the libertine lounge. also iirc on the last day of the masquerade they usually up the amount of trinkets you get with each dance. I believe the lady's mask will work but I don't think the other two will. It is usually more of the masquerade type masks that work. If it stocks at the holiday shop or in the menagerie, it will work.

You're welcome! It might be shorter but I am pretty sure it's never longer than 30 minutes. Hell, it could never be longer than 20 minutes and I'm just misremembering or confusing it with another event.

I guess I'll have to wait until the event to start, then. At least I know not to expect a 1-3minute wait like with the kissing. c:

If my memory serves correctly you wait 5-8 minutes between asking people to dance. You can get 1-3 of either the menagerie or the lounge trinket from each dance you request or receive. (They are given at random). And as said, on the last day the amount of trinkets usually increases. (but not by much.. you may get an extra one here or there..)

1. I too remember shorter wait times (5-8 min), but my memory is unreliable and wait times are also subject to change from year to year.
2. You can check SubetaLodge for a list of masks that work. In the notes section they should say "Masquerade Approved "

Yeah I think I may be confusing the wait times with Trick or Treating during Morostide. So many wait times to keep track of!
