For fiction cop/detective shows like Kojak, Rockford Files, etc:) Also for high school dramas like skins, shows personalities n lives of the characters. NOT like gossip girl, degrassi, etc.1900's shows
For fiction cop/detective shows ..... Monk (ended; about an OCD detective, funny and sad at the same time), psych (only if you like your dose of silly humor), The Mentalist (fake psychic working for a fictional division of the FBI, trying to redeem himself for the death of his wife and young daughter by a serial killer -- which he feels responsible for because he provoked the serial killer on tv; good stuff). For high school dramas, One Tree Hill. I haven't seen Gossip Girl, but I don't think it's anywhere near as dense as that show sounds like? xD
thanks, i have actually seen Monk and the Mentalist. They are pretty good:) I'll try One Tree Hill. I was wondering if Dawsons Creek was one but im not sure. I was kind of looking for really older shows^_^;
@ undoubtedly You got good taste in shows then. c: If you like whodunnit mysteries, I recommend Broadchurch. Only eight episodes. It's really recent though (ended this year). |D You probably have already heard of Sherlock, right? xD Murder, She Wrote?
Yeah. Dawson's Creek was a high school drama, but I haven't seen it. :s Old high school drama? Freaks and Geeks was nice. :3 Beverly Hills 90210 may be too gossip girl-y for you. xD
edit: Some other dramas... Gilmore Girls, Everwood, 7th Heaven.
ty!! David Tennant is in Broadchurch i think, i was unsure about what it was about^_^; Yes I have heard of sherlock:) TO BAD THEY ONLY HAVE 4 EPISODES EACH SEASON! Lame:P I will try Murder, she wrote, Thank you. I'm thinking of trying matlock and perry mason. Thanks for the Freaks and Geeks recommendation, i wasn't sure about that one. Your probably right about Beverly Hills one. Just some rich kids who for some reason still go to high school or college.
Yep! He's the lead investigator on the case. It's a really good drama. Not just a typical WHO KILLED THIS PERSON drama, but more issues, like the question of the media's involvement, etc. It's worth seeing. c:
YES. I heard good things about both Matlock and Perry Mason. :D
Freaks and Geeks is ...unique. You'll either like it or not. Pity it got cancelled. ;s
LOL Pretty much ongoing perpetual drama llama-ing. xD
Gilmore Girls is more witty. Mostly encompassing high school. Also college. I didn't see all of Everwood, but what I had seen, it was pretty good, too. I guess earlier The WB shows trump the current (CW) ones. ;O
Cop/Detective: Luther, Homeland, Psych, and the first four seasons of Dexter (it jumps the shark after that.) Top of the Lake is also a great miniseries. High school: With One Tree Hill I'd watch until the kids graduate high school in the series. I feel like that's when so many high school shows go way downhill. Same with The O.C. Stick with it until high school graduation and a major happening to a main character... Dawson's Creek is dated but pretty good. (Warning you about Dawson Leery now. This is one of those shows where the supporting cast is great and the main protagonist makes you want to punch babies.) Freaks and Geeks has only one season but is amazing! I've heard nothing but good things about Friday Night Lights.

No problem! n__n Hope I helped.
I watched OTH after they graduated and it wasn't horrible. Even when Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton left, it wasn't bad. I think it actually managed to get better. :)
I couldn't stay interested once they jumped four years ahead. Also, I didn't get the random introductions of so many psychopaths on that show lol.

your did a lot^_^ Thank you for your help:) I have heard of luther and homeland I need to try them:) Psych is pretty good. I wonder why graduations always go downhill but than maybe because their out of school n think their over the world's consequences.
I feel like so many show writers have no idea what to do with their characters after graduation.

Okay, I agree with you. Psychopaths were everywhereeee on that show hahaha. xD Chad Michael Murray annoyed me to no end, so I was really happy to see him go.
