...and there's no one there.
I heard loud foot steps on the deck running off right after it rang.
Like hell we don't answer the door for anyone we don't know, we always run for cover. This has NEVER happened before and I don't know of any pranksters. And of course my city is lame and shut off every other light, so my street is like pitch black and we are practically the only house on the street with lights.
I'm ready to gouge out eyes, and lop off heads I don't play games. serious face
Anywho!
That's hilarious.
People will do that, I guess. I live isolated off in the woods so I've never had that happen (though I do think I might have done it a few times myself! //) Mayhaps you could leave a trap, hehehe. Scare away them kids.
I'm pretty sure they were just silly kids. n____n
I know of someone who felt a presence at their window and went to check on it. They found someone staring right back at them!
- that's the kind of thing that would freak me right out!
Obviously I get spooked too easily - a few years ago there were some punks going around stealing things from cars. I still feel quite violated that someone walked all the way up my drive way and smashed a window on my car...and to steal practically nothing because I don't keep anything in my car. And other things, but that's the extreme stuff.
I heard two, defiantly illegal fireworks (M80s?) go off shortly afterwards last night too. It's been quiet for a long time, they're getting frisky.
If it happens again, just post a copy of this on your door. That should deter doorbell pressing children.
<-shot for awful solution

I'm pretty sure I would freak if I saw someone doing that sort of stuff to my property! :c
And about the fireworks, I was with my family for some celebration and someone decided to bring several boxes fireworks! Since most of the guys there were drunk they started messing around with them. As one decided to light up the whole box, another tipped the box over. -.- The fireworks started blazing into someones house across the street; thankfully the house didn't catch on fire.... ;-.-
Woah, that guys must have a severely short temper. :o
