What's the maximum length of a comment? Or are comments broken??

Because I just tried to reply to a comment and I got an error saying that my comment was blank even though it had a (fairly small) wall of text within it. :c

Short answer, they're broken. Long comments tend to break the system, they've been like that for awhile. Unfortunately I'm not sure which thread I saw this on, but rather than fixing the comments they plan to limit them to 500 characters in the future.

I can almost guarantee that my comment was shorter than that, so I dunno what's up with that. :S

The comments only seem to crash if you send them from the comments page; if you however send them over the profile of the user you want to contact then it goes through I've learned.

Huh, then that's weird. I have never had a problem with my comments sending, so I don't know exactly why they act up but you can always try what said, unless sMail is still less of a hassle for you.

IStrictly speaking it's either 506 or 508, can't remember right now. Also, that includes 'white' characters like spaces. 500 characters is unfortunately less than you'd think.

But honestly, I've seen huuuuuuuge walls of text (much larger than mine) get through the comments just fine so idk what's up with that. :u
