I was restocking in Get Mugged just after a restock (I'm bad at approximating, but I'd say that the shop had at least 50 individual items, and duplicates of a lot of them), and I opened a new window to price check an item against the user shops. When I did, it didn't show that item in stock in Get Mugged like it usually does -- listing the main shop price before any user prices -- so I went back to my shop window, refreshed, and saw that within seconds the shop had gone from 50+ items to 5.
Do main shops purge their items shortly after restocks? If so, how often do they do this, and are the items that they remove chosen randomly?
Thanks!
unlike neopets which forces rare items to be absurdly rare by limiting the amount of items that can ever show at any one time and then leaving all the crap items in there forever until someone unsuspecting comes and buys them, in Subeta, all the unbought items disappear on a regular basis. This is usually sometime near the hour. After this, each and every restock adds more items until the next clearing.
I also believe that the number of items stocked is dependent on the number of people online/looking at the store... not sure though. :)
yes, this is true. I'm insomniac and have observed this. The tradeoff is that while less things are restocked, there is also less competition. If you are looking for just any rare, or happen to be looking in a shop nobody else is in since there are so few people about, then it may not matter. If you're looking for a specific rare, it pays to be here whenever everyone else also is.
Ahhh, that makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up!
