I was thinking perhaps redrawing various items, minions, pets, etc could be held in a competitive fashion.

Each week a handful of items can be up for redraw, and users can submit their work for other subeta users to vote on. Only ones with a certain amount of votes would become an official redraw, and the artists can earn some sp (or whatever xP)

This way, you have the community helping on the minor redraws that just...need to happen, but are too minor to deal with.

Plus, this also adds a more dynamic touch to what our items/minions will look like.

.-. I'm sure there are plenty of holes, but this is the overall idea.

I feel like this would actually slow down the redraw process and be more trouble than it's worth. I'd rather just let the staff artists keep doing what they're doing.

I agree with . This would definitely make the revamp process even slower.

In addition to what the others said, I also think there will be a problem with a lack of cohesiveness in appearance. I mean, we already get that to some extent with CWs, but at least those are clearly marked as non-official items.

Also not really sure what would be in it for a user artist to redraw a common, on-site item. At least drawing CWs has a pretty obvious financial gain if you're good at it.
