It's not a particularly poignant complaint, but there it is.

When I'm tired, I forget that CTRL+F exists (among various other useful shortcuts) and often end up overlooking the item I'm trying to find. And then it gets fed to my pet twice, which doesn't do me any good.

I wish there was an option under Site Preferences or something where we could tick off whether or not we wanted to track foods eaten for a specific pet in the same way beanbags and plushies get tracked. Namely, when something's already in your collection, the link goes away. I wish we could have something similar to that as an option for foods too. I understand why we don't, but even just having a check-box somewhere that would pop the Feed to _____ text into italics if it's already been fed... oh god, I would be a happy camper.

Or if we could just get a text list of Foods Eaten. I have a feeling that would get me to remember to use CTRL+F.

Blah, why does lack of sleep make me forget basic computer functions? I was raised on computers. I should be able to do this fully asleep, let alone half-asleep.

The foods on that page are also in alphabetical order, if that helps? :)

And, as you said, CTRL+F really does make it super easy to navigate.

I know, but sometimes if one food item gets put alphabetically in between a whole bunch of very similar images -- say, one random item in between eight carved pumpkins -- I won't see it ._.

I have the same problem. I also hate it because I have yet to meet a computer that will actually load the page without crapping out for a few minutes. The last time I've been on that page was to get the coding I needed to update my Subeta Lodge checklist. Now I do my best to not have to load that page.

I guess one option is to just keep reminding yourself to use CTR + F? Since that's the easiest way to do it.

If you took away the option of feeding something to your pet twice that would be irritating for people who feed their pets cheap foods to keep them full instead of using the resort- also with achievements like feeding your pet 25+ Black Candy Bars or whatever. Also mentioned SubetaLodge, you can checklist foods your pet has eaten on there! I usually just pop up my Subetalodge page for my food pet when I'm going to feed him so I can see at a glance what I need/dont' need.

Unfortunately, SL requires you to update it since it's off-site and won't sync itself, so while it's a great long-term option, it really doesn't do much good at this point in my gourmand attempts. Namely, I've only fed my pet a hundred items, so I have a looong way to go xD

Also, what I was hoping for is an option that you could tick off, something you could use only if you wanted to :) Default would be set to "accept all food items", alternative option that you have to set yourself would be "accept one of each food item" or something. A girl can dream ;__;

It can be synced, in a way! Not automatically, but the process is really, reaaally simple. If you have an account with them they have a Mass Update option where you just copy the page source of the page and you can enter it into a little box, press enter and bam, your list is updated automatically (: it's really useful and it's what I use to keep track.

An option like that would be nifty since we do have it for other items, but I'm not sure how likely it would be to happen lol.

I've made a suggestion (twice now) that the foods eaten page at least have a text-only view. All those images loading on one page is really tedious. If not text only option, I would love some sort of indicator of when we've fed a food item to a pet. Italicized text, a mark by the pet's name, something so that users don't have to constantly check an image heavy page.

Ohhh. I just thought you didn't know about the Mass Edit option. It only takes a few seconds when I do it so I figured it's probably the easiest way besides CTRL + F, I can't think of any other alternatives :b But hopefully you can find a method that works for you.

BUT I also support the option of being able to view the list text-only. My pet is coming up on the 1,000 mark and I'm fortunate to have a pretty fast computer but even with that it's just... it can be tedious. I like browsing through my foods occasionally but it would be nice to have the list option for those who like to use CTRL + F to search.

I find the easiest way to sync between Subetalodge and here is just to do it manually as you go. What I do is load up the list I want to buy stuff from (so in your case all foods) then toggle it to show just the ones you need then you can sort that to be like cheapest or whatever. Buy a row of food at a time (you can left click the shop search option there and have it load in a new tab) then click on each item to mark it as eaten after you are done. Fast and simple for me anyway. I do this when I'm buying stuff for my massive everything-on-subeta gallery and it works out pretty darn well for me.

I really hope they don't go to a strictly text-only view because I feel like seeing the pictures is half the fun. And seeing as how CTRL + F exists... I'm not sure what besides adding a search function to the page itself can be done. Maybe the italicized text is a good idea.

Not sure how helpful this will be but now the Account Search will display foods fed and books read to your pets :)
