So, right now, when anyone on my friends list posts an image in the forums or a comment, it stretches my Friend Feed widget as wide as the image. Hell, sometimes long URLs that someone has posted (even in sCode) stretch the Friend Feed. While there is a scroll bar at the bottom, that doesn't really help if you want to try to read the first few items in your Friend Feed.

Would it be possible to replace what is shown in the Friend Feed with something akin to a spoiler tag? Something like [There is an image here!] for images any wider than the actual widget itself?

Similarly, it would be great if sCode didn't make the Friend Feed stretch. Sometimes it previews correctly, and you end up seeing the link that was meant to be posted, but other times you end up seeing the actual sCode itself.

I'd really love something to be done about images in friends feed. I like the idea of images automatically converting into links.

I would almost prefer a way to delete specific events from our feed. Similar to the way the alerts work. That way, if there is a pic heavy post you could delete it specifically. Or for whatever other reasons you might want to delete particular feed event.

That... is a much better suggestion xD I'll leave my original in the OP, in case one proves to be significantly more annoying to create than the other :)

I like both the image cropping and deletion ideas. It really bogs me when the side bar stretches =/

It would be nice if images could be resized on the friend feed or something or at least some parts removable. It is not often that any of my friends post an image, but when it does happen, it gets VERY obnoxious reading the friend feed.

I don't have any giant images in my feed right now, but I pushed a change that shoudl have fixed this earlier :)

So, uh... I noticed this hasn't been locked yet, which is convenient, because there's still a bit of a problem!

When people post URLs without any sCode -- just the bare link -- it still stretches the friend feed. Is it possible to get this fixed somehow as well?
