well it's my sixth year formal coming up in june me thinks (i'm from Scotland so in American: my senior prom? think that's right) and I know what dress i'm getting:

if you go to the colour chart i can't decide between champagne, dark navy or one of the pastel colours. :) but are there any better/more suited to me ones?

I was thinking more champagne if my hair is still red and navy if it's not but i'm genuinely not sure. nor do i know how i will wear my hair... :/

i need to know what you guys think. i'm 5 foot tall exactly (but I'll be wearing heels that are quite tall), I weigh just under seven stone, i have a cool skin stone and i'm relatively pale i guess, maybe just an average colour colour, but wither way nothing extreme or special. i have naturally blond-brown hair and blue eyes although my hair is currently red I am considering dying it back or even up for keeping it as it is now. but it's quite long right now and i'll be keeping it like that haha. this is what i look like

also, my measurements are 32 bust (my boobs are a shitty B :c), 27 waist and a 34 hips. can anyone tell me what shape i am? and if i'd suit this dress? :)

Take a friend whose dress sense you trust. Go to local shops and see if you can find a similar dress and try it on. If you can't find something similar, then at least look for outfits with matching colours that you are considering. Really, nothing beats actually trying on stuff, it will give you a far better idea of what works and what doesn't.

Also you should order it well in advance so you have a chance to exchange it in case you find it simply doesn't work for you.

well i know what works down to a T :) i'm eighteen and i'm no newbie at this :) i know i need a waist and the sweet heart line should give me a better boob haha :) i just wanted to know what the people of subeta think and THEIR opinion, your opinion. :) i personally really like the dress it's just the colours i'm having trouble with, i will be trying things on for the colours but i live in aberdeen, which is a city but its very small and fancy dress shopping is difficult and quite limited. i love the dress itself, but i was looking for an in site into the science of the colours, like i know blue eyes should have eye shadows that are brown/navy ideally and brown eyes can have brighter colours etc.

Also that's why i'm ordering now, it's not till june-ish. :)

Well, personally I think you'd look better in a darker color dress. You seem to have the skin color as me (Do you tan some, and then your sun burns show up later? Or maybe you don't tan, but your burns don't show up right away?) and they tend to compliment your skin better than pastels.

But that's just me assuming. You can always take this quiz and it gives color suggestions after telling you what type you are lol.

As for what type of dress to wear... I'm not sure how flattering this dress would be. It looks like an attempted a-line but it also seems to want to follow her natural curves. You seem to know what looks best on you (:

The only thing I'll say is the girl in the photo appears to have a natural big bust, so I have no idea how it'll fit there lol. But you can always get it altered if it's too loose in certain places. (I know I have to!)

Yeah, I'm definitely swaying towards the navy one, and yes I tan some and if I'm going to burn I burn later on haha, not so good but ah well :P I think the pastels might wash me out a bit so I'll steer clear. I get what you're saying but whats really lovely about that site is you can give them your measurements and they make the dress for you! How cool is that!? :) So it should fit perfectly. Oh that's awesome! So you don't have to worry about how it fits, that's usually the biggest problem imo.
