UPDATE: I must inform those who have read this thread and made any effort to help this little girl, that I have made a terrible error in regards to the date of her birthday. Emma Ritter's birthday is Monday July 22nd, not July 29th. This was my first ever attempt to help a local resident of Fresno. If anyone else has made an effort to send a card I thank you so much for helping but again regret to inform the people of this thread that there was misinformation on my part. If I ever attempt such an effort again I will be sure to phone the news station if necessary to obtain correct dates.

On a slight happier note, a local motorcycle group visited Emma on Sunday July 21st with 75 birthday cards. This story has not been posted on the Abc30 Action News website.

Tonight my father told me about a story he watched on one of several local news stations. A 6 year old little named Emma Ritter has been diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis.

Cystic Fibrosis is condition there is no cure for and causes problems to the pancreas and lungs making it difficult to breathe. A person suffers digestive and development issues. For more detailed information here is where I referenced for Cystic Fibrosis.

I am in no way a friend of family member of this little girl but she does have a wish that I would like the users of Subeta to grant her. Emma is asking that for her birthday she receive 100 birthday cards. Emma is turning 7 years old on Monday July 29. This little girl is not asking for expensive technology or for an extravagant trip across the world, but simply a card wishing her a happy birthday. This touched my heart and decided to take to the forum to tell her wish.

Thank you for your help. I know she'll be really happy. I'll keep an eye on the news to see if the station does a follow up story and add it to this thread.

I'm sure she'll like the card I picked out. It's a cat wearing a big fluffy boa, pearls, and diva sunglasses XD

How adorable! My husband picked one that has an under the sea theme. It shows a dolphin with fishes and other sea dwellers.

I hope so too. It's tragic that this had to happen to a child so young.

CF is an awful disease. My heart goes to anyone who has it and their family.
