I don't really think that you can accurately pinpoint whether or not he is trouble just in 10ish neutralish if not flirtatious words. You'll just have to keep texting him to see how it goes, see where his attitude lies. Don't set your 'alarm signal' to too high of a standard. Actually give him a chance and get to know him. Maybe he is flirty on the outside when he first initially meets women. Maybe he knows he's cute and plays it up. But you have to keep talking to a person to actually dig beneath that initial surface. Just keep the conversation light and see where it goes. I'm terrible at conversation myself so I have no thoughts on what you should text back but this is just my two cents put forth towards not jumping to any conclusions just based on one text :) good luck!

You can't really tell if he's a douche from one text ._. It sounds like he was trying to be cute and/or flirt based on your costume (I mean, he called you foxy when he met you dressed as a fox). I agree with , give him a chance.

Text him back the appropriate reply to his question.

I understand why you might be worried, but it's way too early. Right now you two are teasing about your costumes, and a lot of teasing flirty jokes sound lame, it's pretty much the nature of the game. I'd converse more before deciding on anything.
