Is there anyone whose full IB or went full IB?
Right now, as a sophomore, I've signed up to go full IB junior and senior year of high school.
As of right now, my schedule for junior year is tough.
Spanish IB 1, Chem IB 1, Bio IB 1, English IB, and so on and I only have a semester of study hall.
I'm looking forward to the EE, I really like research papers.
As for CAS, I think I can get the C in forensics and Ban, A in cross country and track, S from volunteering in the library and key club if I actually go to meetings.
Anyways, how did going full IB go for you? How did it help you for college?
One of my biggest worries right now is that the colleges I'm looking at doesn't take much IB credit or only takes Higher Level. It's like... fuck.
At least no gym and I make a little family with other full IB students.
I did IB and honestly, aside from English it...didn't really help a whole lot? Not with the field I ended up going into, anyway, which was Office Technologies. The Informatic classes we had were too basic and I had to do an applied Informatics in college
Also, we actually had gym all five years. Which was crazy.
I'm a 2011 May IB graduate (Canada) and I think it differs by country so take my advice with that in mind~ One piece of advice...RUNNN WHEN YOU CANNNNNN JK 8D IB doesn't really help at all, unless you're looking to go to a college in another country. (Which was useless for me) I did my EE in English and started researching 2 days before the deadline. I had never met my supervisor, but it was OK since EE's in English usually tend to score really high (more than History, etc) and is all based on analyzation/creativity. Don't start late like me, cause the one thing IB taught me was how to procrastinate. Most schools give you transfer credits for your higher levels (if you get a certain grade, like 6/7, sometimes 5)
Not to be crass but IB is pretty much useless. The only thing you "can" take from it are
Do I regret it? No Would I do it again? No
IB offers GYM? O_O whutwhen? How would you get examined for that? O:
