Best art program to use on a mac?

I have a macbook, but no art program :(
I'm looking for a free one to download. So, fellow mac users, what would you recommend? I'm not a huge artist, so I really just want it to goof around on a draw a few simple things.

GIMP a good alternative to photshop i have used allot till i saved up for photoshop
