My name is Samantha but feel free to call me Ivy. Or The Doctor. Or whatever you wish, that's not what this is all about. THIS, THIS right HERE is about a cult in the making. A cult I like to call, A Wrinkle In Time. It is not, in fact, based off of the book or movie but somehow is. I call it that because of how I see it built. I see it as a roleplaying /character creation cult that has more than one roleplay going on.

I'm talking Doctor Who type realities, and multiple upon multiple of them and sometimes they can even cross paths, you know what I mean? Multiple Dimensions. To start with, we are going to go classic. The first startup roleplay for this group will feature a members Anthro Subeta Species character/ pet and it will take place in this world. Centropolis is the current setting for those of you already interested in joining.

At THIS particular moment, we are looking for at least three more members to help us build this guild, get it started and earn the title of Time Lord through their trials, and become an honorary leader of this world. This incredibly, upstarting and unlimited universe, or series of them rather, as Gods of our own written words. How fantastic does that sound?

She is another leader of this guild here to provide her own insight into what happens in this world. Hello, darling. How are you doing? Is life going swimmingly, I hope not because that means flood. WOOO, coffee. Ah, work has me wacky.

SOO!!! About the ideas and things and stuff! So, I am making a store for the guild and getting it ready with items for the big sale!! Once every single item in the shop is sold I will donate 60% of all earnings back into the guild and buy something fantastic as a prize for some contest. It will involve roleplaying your character in a contest but I am not sure what yet. Something that is fair, can be contained but anyone has a chance.

Hmmm...

So, have you figured out which characters you guys are using for the first roleplay, and .

.PoisonIvy weelll, I'm a big mlp fan so i think the first character I'm gonna use is either shy fluttershy or rin ^^ I love either, and um...sweetie you may been to put the coffee down! Currently though I am wondering what I could sell and about the contest though...o.o

And we are allowed to have contests, right? I mean if not then it will just be a fun event but still xD I am just trying to think up all kinds of ideas while snagging items here and there for it. If we are, what about an acting event? Where we write a script that everyone's character has to read and then perform for our three judges (us) and the winner gets...something.

It's fair because what counts is your ability to write and describe a scene perfectly. Or as you see it perfect. Yet is would be contained in that everyone gets the same script. Hmmm...and they should even dress their HAs as close to what the character looks like as they can. I'll have to create a script to see if there is anything else that can be added but I thought that might be really fun and challenging at the same time.

As far as writing goes, I have a BA and MA in English, a minor in Creative Writing, and I'm a second year English PhD. I've taught composition and rhetoric (basically English 101 and 102) for over six years, and more advanced business writing for two. I've written original stuff, but mostly I write fan fiction. I've been a fanfic author for about 17 years and have written for over 50 fandoms. I like to write fanfic in order to fill in what I see as gaps in the canon texts, and to focus on characters I love who didn't get enough screen time in the canon. (I tend to like obscure characters and pairings.) My academic work focuses on fan studies, and I've had a book chapter published on how fanfic can be useful in academic settings. I'm working on a second article about fan crafting, and I've been in contact with a publisher to do a whole book about it. (Um, if I can get off my rear and start researching!) (I can provide links to my writing if you want, but I'd rather send them privately... don't want all of Subeta to know my identity ;) )

I've been obsessed with tesseracts ever since I read AWIT as a kid (and that's why I clicked on this forum thread!), so a lot of my original writing involves a race of sentient tesseracts I developed - long before Avengers. In fact, my main tesseract character, Waverly, has been with me for about 20 years. I've ended up intermingling tesseracts into my fan work too - in fact, a couple of my Subeta pets (Tak and Desdinova) are based on other people's characters whom I've given tesseract identities :D

Okay SO, sorry for rambling. I get excited talking about my interests :D If we need to start out with a Subeta setting, I would choose my pet Desdinova to be my character. He's based on the character Imaginos (also called Desdinova) from Blue Öyster Cult's album Imaginos. Desdinova has ended up being an important part of the multiverse I write in, and as I mentioned above, his true form is a tesseract. However, he can shape shift into many other forms and identities - this is canon but also makes him workable as a Subeta pet ;) Here is his profile, which is finished except for his story.

If I need to write or do anything else for an application, please let me know! I'm really excited about this, as I've been looking for a good guild ever since I joined Subeta ^X^

Well hello there!! Is it very nice to meet you!! I am glad you enjoy A Wrinkle In Time as much as I did. While I did not focus on tesseracts entirely, it got me hooked on multiple dimensions and what possibilities could be found throughout the universe and beyond. Got me interested in trying any type of story once because you never know what you're really going to get!!

I am glad you wish to join!! We need some new voices to come in and spice things up before things get started!!

Well, what an interesting character you have going there!! I suppose the only thing I really need to see is how you do on your feet and how well you can come up with ideas on the spot so, let's start a random roleplay. Pick any of your characters that you wish and bring them on in here. This is going to become a dinner party. Don't forget your invitations!! If you don't have them, you can expect difficulties at the door. (just write them in as a mysterious invitation). I'll bring in, Lestat.

.PoisonIvy So sorry about the other day. I was about to go post in the other forum, but Subeta stopped working for me and I wasn't able to go and do as I promised.

I [I]am[/I], however, having serious issues deciding on hoe to make my entrance into the storyline as it revolves around a city setting. A majority of my pets focus on a fantasy world of my own design and I'm unsure if I can adapt their characters to fit the forum. The funny thing is, CrystalGem's story is all about Centropolis and I may be able to use her pretty easily. But it would be hard to role play as Gem if the other writers had not yet seen her background. I have it posted if someone were to check her out, but she is lacking coding for her profile.

I'm really glad I'm not the only one having a tough time choosing what character I should become in this forum. :)

Your application was very impressive and I cannot wait to see what you have to offer in terms of creative writing. I'm sure you'll be simply wonderful!

About the roleplay, I know how it can feel starting off in more fantasy and trying for something a little more urban but if it is, then just do the "drop off" method. A time portal has just enveloped around that character, as they are, and dropped them into new york city. Play it like that!! When I say multiple dimensions overlapping, I mean it so this is more perfect than you realize!

This only increases the strength of your characters!!

As for being unable to respond, I can understand that. I need a bit of time to organize my big sale, get things written for the cult and work on my own characters as well so take all of the time you guys need!! I understand and do not want this to feel like some chore. In essence, this is still just a way to escape. To get into a world you control that others with the same power may interact with as well. This is simply freedom, fun and growing as individuals through shared experience and perception.

This is our world and it isn't like the one we are all so very used to. We are free here. Take the time you must to find your inspiration and when a character speaks to you, then post. I want our work to be genuine, I will be saving it so every action can be documented and stored so it can always be reread incase history plays a part, or memories.

So by all means, only show me work you were inspired to create, not felt obligated ^^

.PoisonIvy That was a very beautiful speech, and I would love to post in the forum now that you have presented the idea of overlapping realities. I'm actually torn between choosing either CrystalClaw, Kiln, or Moonmist to role play as. I believe their characters would be the best to adjust for a setting like Centropolis out of the ten I have created so far. I guess I'll just have to close my eyes and choose since I am so indecisive. ^-^ Would it be alright if I posted an introduction to give everyone a feeling of the character first? Or should I just jump right into the storyline and get things moving?

I'm going to mail you instead of posting in here to find out what is making you feel depressed. I can relate...Strongly...And I know that sometimes it isn't best to let too many others know what has been going on. Don't rush your recovery. Please, take your time and only tell me as much as you are willing to. You don't have to indulge me on any details, but I will listen to everything you say closely. I hope you'll find the way out of your personal pit of despair. Just know that Ivy and I am here for you if you every need us!

Thank you and either idea is good. If you want to test it first with an introduction that is absolutely fine, we can toss you into the roleplay at anytime. It's a big city, people are bound to meet up!! I know Raehgyn is already running amok in Centropolis so if you wish to bump into him, he talks real well to anyone he finds intriguing. Which at this point in his life, is everyone.

As for , I get that way from time to time. I usually go into my own world and make a safe haven in my writing. I don't recommend that unless you can handle talking to your characters all day. Yeah, I'm insane. I do know, however, that our emotions are there whether we want them to be or not but we do have control of how they impact our lives. Just...see the beauty in everything around you. It can't rain all the time and if it does then we will learn to live wet.

SO YES, Overlapping realities and super fun and can make anything happen! haha

UPDATE:: I now have a total of 1186 items ready for the big sale when our cult opens!! I simply do all of the quests daily and every two days I vend (500 wiz tokens takes two days to accumulate). With this strategy, I keep the items I need (plushies, beanbags, clothes, elixirs, weapons, minions, books and food) and then I sell everything I have already got in my collections or have no use for. The items we sell don't have to be super expensive (although this method does get me A LOT of great stuff, always) but every little bit counts when it comes to saving up. Basically, just sell anything you have no use or need for, if you wish to participate in the sale ^^

If it all goes really well, how does a little mall made up of our own shops sound? We each take control of restocking a particular type of item for the guild? That won't/shouldn't happen until we have a member for minions, clothes, weapons, beanbags, plushies, trading cards and others at least. You know, a proper subeta mall. So, we need at least 7 members. Hmmm....I can work with that. Find different "themes" for all seven members. That might be fun and go hand in hand with my pens idea!

.PoisonIvy I already restock balloons :D I'm good at snagging the rare ones after building my own gallery, and they tend to sell pretty quickly. I could add other toys or something since there aren't official balloon collections or anything. I have a few pricey clothing items in my vault too; I can donate some of the sales from them too.

I completely understand about being depressed too. I was diagnosed with clinical depression about 15 years ago, and I'm on medication for life. I do all right most of the time, but I've had bad spells lately too. Subeta has been kind of an escape for me, but I know at times I won't feel like being on here. I won't ask what's going on since I don't know you well and I don't want to intrude ^X^; But I understand it, and I hope you get the time you need :)

And I'll start a little bit with Desdinova and the RP now, just to get a feel for writing him. (I've never RPed with him before.) I'm also used to RPing through instant messengers, so writing whole paragraphs will be odd at first. Just tell me if I need to do anything differently ^X^; I'm writing him as an anthro 76166, but he does wear clothes.

Desdinova glances down at his invitation while he waits for someone to answer his knock at the door. He still isn't quite used to his current form-- especially the long, black reptilian tail for which he had had to commission special pants-- but it isn't the strangest shape he's taken either. And, Desdinova thinks, I make it look pretty good. His suit is of the finest quality he could find in Centropolis; he might have even worn gloves if not for the thick claws on his otherwise shapely hands. Flame-orange hair, carefully groomed, lies on his shoulders, and a mask hides his face. The mask, which mimics a Subetan species known as the "Ghostly," amuses him-- blank and white except for a grinning mouth.

From a tesseract to a human to a monster-- an interesting change, Desdinova muses. And judging from the invitation he found in the Donation Corner, he might have an interesting evening too. At any rate, it was a nice change from those Subeautique invitations fashionistas were always shoving at him. Perhaps it might even prove to be more profitable.

If you already sell balloons, I would say that could be clothing or toys. Whichever you prefer. If you've already got some clothing items going for you, perhaps you'd like to be our fashion boutique? Not sure. for now, just sell whatever it is you wish to sell, don't feel pressured, and donate however much you want from your sales to the guild. I will be donating 50% of all I make once all the items are sold. After the big sale, we will worry about who restocks what ^^

ooc:: OHH!! Yay, some excitement!! Let's see, I like the way you made him find the invitation, that sounds like something Prauge would do so instead of Lestat, I'm going to toss her in. Now, I warn you...I really know very little about Prauge. Just that she's russian, she's feisty and she is on a mission. So...here goes... and she was definitely a sneaky little sprite. Ah, I think I am going to like her!!

BIC:: It was dark and she could feel a pinch in the back of her neck. How long had she been asleep in this car? Prauge opened her eyes and took a deep breath in. The books said he would show up at some time today but that blasted zombie was always giving her useless information. She blinked the sleep out of her eyes and pulled her long maroon hair up into a ponytail. Taking a deep sigh, she readjusted her seat and stopped mid-action. There he was.

Her champagne eyes zoomed in across the street, he had the invitation. Well, was it him though? Asperil had told her to put it somewhere easily found but what if this wasn't him? What if this was just some random guy. She studied his features carefully, clearly he wasn't from around here, exactly. He had an...alien feel to him.

"Weel. I do not have all night." she opened the car door and pulled her long black fur coat against her silken skin. As her stilettos hit the ground a smile spread across her face. "At leest he is unique." she did love the unusual so very much.

She clicked her way across the street and pulled out her own invitation, wiping the last little bit of scattered mascara from beneath her eyes. "First time?" she smiled, showing him her own invitation. She chuckled and began heading for the back. "A place like thees, you do not want to be seen coming in through the front." she motioned for him to follow her, her tail guiding him down the alley. "Do not worry, I do not bite hard." her canines shining in the light. She was tall for a Jollin and her ears we a little smaller, but she more than made up for it with those wide, champagne eyes.

[edit] I just changed my mind... I can do wearables to be my part of the "mall" :) I have more than I thought, and I can use Subeta Lodge when I need to know more about an item. I have a spare shop too, so I'll go ahead and set that up and throw the wearables in there :)

Sweet stuff!! I haven't added prices to all my items and I am not sure what I will restock for the mall but I am sure we can set up some kind of a trade route between ourselves to sell all the donated items for the cult in the proper shops when the time comes.

Like when it is all ready, we'll send you all the donated wearables for the cult. I might do plushies, wuv them so!! haha, who knows. Right now, the big sale will just involve each of us selling what we can afford to and then putting the sP in cult bank. So at this point, sell anything you would like or can afford and then after the bank has a good bit in it for the cult we can worry about themed shops ^^

Alright. Time for quests, vending and then pricing all those items in my shop xD

.PoisonIvy I would like to help with the themed shop ideas, but I'm afraid that I'm a bit confused. Would each member have only a certain type of item in it? And if so, should I just grab a ton of stuff from my shop and donate it to the cult until we figure out who takes what category?

And now that my worries about how to come into the RP have been set aside, I shall go make my entrance. ^-^

Right now, I think any item you wish to donate to the cult shop should just be sold in your own shop. Then you can donate however much you'd like from your earnings to the cult bank. After there is a good bit of coin in the cult bank we can worry about specifically selling certain items in our personal cult shops.

Like, for now I am selling all kinds (almost 2,000) of random items from all over subeta. Once I get those priced and sold, I'll donate 60% of my earnings to the cult bank and once everyone has their first donation to the bank we can choose our themes for the shops. This way, no one has to worry about sending all their items to someone and such.

Later we will decide how we shall organize our cult mall.
