TITLES ARE IMPORTANT[/b]]

Please, in order to keep everything in order and so that the staff and minimods know what your issue is, do NOT name your thread with vague titles such as "OMG IT DOESN'T WORK ASDADAFDKSG." Instead please choose a descriptive name like "Error when moving item from inventory" or "Cannot send score in Spectrail." Also, please do not use symbols in your error report as we use these in organizing and reporting and it may cause your board to be overlooked!

CONTENT IS IMPORTANT[/b]]

The body of your OP is just as vital. If you are having trouble with a feature or item or game, list as much information as you can. Tell us what browser and OS (operating system) you are using, how long it has been going on, what error if any you receive, the url address where you received the error, what steps you have taken to resolve the issue...these are things we may have to ask you for anyway so BEAT US TO IT!

TICKET VS. FORUM THREAD[/b]]

Some people may ask, how do I know if it is a ticket issue or if I should post it on the forums. If it is something that may just be affecting you like you have not received your CS purchase yet (and it has been 24 hours), that is a ticket issue. If it is something that is more of an all user issue like the wardrobe is not working, that is for the P&B Forum! If you are unsure, Reya and I can help you decide if you comment us!

CHECKING FOR CURRENT THREADS[/b]]

I hate having to lock your boards when they are duplicate. However, duplicate topics push down all the other errors that are being reported and that can lead to us missing important error threads! So please, scan the first page or two or even do a google search for any keywords and then add subeta to the search. Also be sure to check the Known Errors & Troubleshooting forum. If you see nothing, or if the search pulls up nothing, then feel free to make a new topic. And here at your friendly P&B forums, the necroing rules DOES NOT APPLY, so feel free to add to a topic no matter how old it is or when the last post was!

STAY CALM[/b]]

This goes for any OP or any other user that posts on the thread. Threats and angry words do NOT speed up the process. It really does nothing other than stress the MMs and UAs out. We have a process that we have to go through and the error will get looked at as soon as possible.

CHAT IS BAD[/b]]

In the P&B Forum, we try and help users to fix a problem. If there is a lot of filler chat and repeated spammy "OMG ME TOO!!!" messages, then sometimes it is hard for programmers to find the information they need to fix things. We promise that we will see something, and if we happen to miss it after a while see below! Please do not needlessly bump a topic or chat about how this error has ruined your experience. We understand and sympathize but the chat belongs elsewhere and not on the P&B Forum.

REMIND US[/b]]

Sometimes people forget. To err is human and really we do not mind a reminder every once in a while. Now, we do not mean everyday, but if a long time has gone by with no answer, feel free to ping Reya or me! Vice versa, if your issue has been resolved, share your great news with us so we can rejoice--then lock and move your board to the resolved subforum!

DO NOT COMBINE ERRORS[/b]]

Please do not make a thread with multiple error reports unless you are directed to by a UA or MM. If you are following the first rule, then you cannot even do this since a good title has a description of the error! It is easier for programmers to go through and work on them individually and if you have 10,000 errors in one report then it is really difficult to close up anything. Now, do not confuse this with multiple "versions" of the same report. If you are getting too many events from both the Lakeview Resort and from Rathskeller Inn, that is the same error!

TRY THE BASICS[/b]]

Before you report something, check out the troubleshooting boards (these will be listed below) and the basic workarounds that may solve your problem. Clear your cache and cookies, hard refresh, restart your browser/computer. Sometimes your computer gets tired and needs a good cleaning. If you are getting weird ads (pop-ups for anyone of any ads for gold accounts) this may be a sign of a virus. Please run your antivirus software first!

DO NOT POST DANGEROUS OR EXPLOITABLE BUGS[/b]]

Please make a ticket if you have found an error that can be used to duplicate items, delete user information or something dangerous. PLEASE do not post them here. If you do accidentally post one, either file a ticket and let them know to remove the board or if you know Reya or I are online, comment us and we can take care of it immediately.

DO NOT PING STAFF[/b]]

Please do not ping staff to a thread unless you are responding to their questions. They already get constant pings from our report system and every time they respond to pings on boards, that is less time that they can help you! You are more than welcome to ping Reya and I with questions, but please do not ping us just to ask if this has been looked into yet. Good things to ping the MMs for include: reporting critical but non-exploitable bugs, asking if there are workarounds, updating us on long standing errors, reminding us that an error still is happening (see "remind us" above), and to lock or move topics.

Things to possibly add:

• Not to ping staff besides us unless responding to their request
• Note that these apply to additional reports in the thread
• In the checking section, mention that they should especially check in the Known Bugs subforum.
• In 8, maybe throw in "unless directed to", because sometimes we do ask them to keep things in one thread. :P

Looks pretty good! The only I can think of, is maybe mention in the title section for them to not use any symbols because we use them for sorting purposes and it could cause their report to be overlooked.

Added! So we will post this and then if they break any rules we can autolock right? ;) Especially the vague titles xD

Oh, and maybe mention that the necro rule does not apply, so they should still use existing threads regardless of how old they are to add their reports/make updates.

Also, instead of claiming that you feel like a meanie (lawlz, you love it sometimes) in the duplicate report section, perhaps include that making duplicate reports can cause important information to be missed or something along those lines. ;)

That might be a good idea, especially if he has something to add/remove. Maybe even ping the programmers for input? I kind of feel like we should make it more 'strict' that they NEED to include certain information (OS/Browser/etc.)

Already had someone post in the reg P&B and we want to stop that. Is there anything in this thread that needs to be changed? Do we need to add a WHAT GOES WHERE section before we use it?

We'll likely want to do some type of basic breakdown of what goes where.

Also, have them to go the Known Errors List (http://subeta.net/forums.php/read/804662/-Known-Errors-List-11914) instead of the Known Errors & Troubleshooting subforum to check for bugs. I'll be working on updating it.
