newyears shop, what kind of tokens does it take?

I see, I just found it. Are tokens only given out threw random events on new years or floating item on new years?

I can't remember very well but it seemed like they were an extra quest reward during New Years. Like you did normal quests but they would give a new year token sometimes.

Maybe someone else can confirm or deny.
