Is the holiday Shop the best way to look for things I can use to decorate my tree?
Is everything that can go on the tree called an ornament? I know that like the toppers are called such as well as the tree skirts...

The holiday shop has been axed. Now you can get ornaments from a . They're kind of expensive now, but during Luminaire Melody gives them out for 2,500 sP. And here is a list of all of the ornaments. :)
the Holiday Shop no longer exists. Right now, as far as I know ornaments and such can only be bought from user shops. Most items are called ornaments, but there are, as you mentioned, toppers, and baubles and garland, and a handful of others.
You can go to a fansite like SubetaLodge, ornament listing to get a complete list.

@ Kashmir As far as I know it's all of them, though maybe a couple slipped through the cracks. It's got all the garlands, toppers, and other stuff too, so it should be everything you can put on your tree!
