Despite how some people feel with the statistics of the average user only having 11 mill. I still feel subeta needs more outlets to suck in some of the sp currency. Now my suggestion and I am looking for feedback and input is to have on site benefits you can pay Sp for that are not items. Because items can then just be sold and that doesn't really seem to help. I am talking more like temporary benefits with training or zapping, or even like temporary or even permanent forum/shoutbox effects. These things aren't transferable and allow people to just burn through their sp. Even perhaps special icons, allow members of cults to pay a huge fee to have their users have a special user icon. Things of that nature.
On the line of Account Buffs: They should be temporary: Bribing the gym for extra sessions or a shorter time span. The ability to bribe quest people for an extra 5 quests to that specific quest.
I know with the crazy large shop sizes and such it is a shame this is not like neo in the sense you don't pay to upgrade your shop to hold more items. I am not talking about a the ridiculous extra 5 items slots, I am thinking for like a whole page of items.

One of the zappers lets you do that around Morostide, but I'd love to see it opened up at other times during the year. And I'd pay a decent chunk of change to be able to be able to save my Galactic skin and take it on and off at will, for instance. Same if I had the chance at being able to zap and save for the water skin. Heck, being able to buy the appearance (though not the perks) of some of the zombie skins would be wonderful.

I highly doubt they would let you buy into zombie skins. But what I meant by an HA Zapper is a whole separate entity with new skins, leaving the ones that are more holiday specific around only when the season is available. Or making it so the effects are temporary.
I believe the HA zapper should make an appearance, but cost SP when it's not morostide. But not an insane amount like 10mil per zap or whatever. Then they could add zombie skins but if you are zapped into a zombie this way you get an achievement for 'imposter zombie' or something, so the normal zombies aren't angry? Idk.
Even those hex skins would be nice to have.
I know, but it would be nice. For the record, I'm not talking about having access to the Alchemist or the Zombie Den or any other such nifty perks. Just being able to have that neat-o stone skin, for instance, purely for HA purposes.
Maybe give zombies the chance to 'buy' a normal appearance and tanning salon extras in turn? Maybe make both of those, zombie skins and normal makeovers, both for a limited amount of time to extract more sP?

I would love to buy a Hex skin with sP! I would be the Balloon hex all the time. ALL. THE. TIME.
I dislike the idea of allowing a Morostide event (the Zapper) to occur throught the year. It's a special feature of the holiday, and to me opening it to to everyday use (no matter the cost) would cheapen it.
I feel the same way about zombie skins. I on occasions miss the Brain Rot lurking beneath this adorable deer skin, but it is a choice I have made. I think the vials from this year (and hopefully in years forward) that allow the temporary use/apperence are a fair compromise.
I know the site needs more sP sinks, and I think the idea of buffs/account upgrades is a great option.
The idea about hexes has been definitely turned down multiple times.
I think I've seen boards for these individual ideas a handful of times, and they've always been shot down in the past. I don't think these ideas are ever going happen, especially if it's about making things easier while having a zombie or zapper skin.
Maybe I'm just being a grump, but the whole idea of taking a handful of things that are specifically part of 2 holidays and trying to overly complicate them so users could have access to them all year in the name of an "sP sink" just sounds... bleh.
They could always just stick more stuff in the millionaire center? There's really not all that much in there at one time, it cycles in and out per season. Even then, 37 of the 56 items in there right now cost 5.5 mil or less, which is kinda the opposite of what I would expect haha. The most expensive item is 750 mil, so there's not much to fill the gap between 5.5 mil and 750 mil, and even then most of the items are less that 50ish mil anyways. Considering some people have a billion or more SP that's not going to get rid of too much SP unless the lower costing items are worth buying a lot of (for which I can only see a couple possibilities, the magical keepsake box, cobalt eternals, books, etc). Maybe make an offshoot of the MC that acts like BHH (restocks randomly when I'm not paying attention xD) but costs varying millions of sP?
Aside that, the Recycle Beast had a SP Smelter that costs 100k a go for 10 points, which is 10 times as much as I pay for items whenever I get struck with the urge to try smelt there for no reason. Perhaps if it was halved or so people might consider it? Or if the limit was removed. I think you can only do it a couple times a day? Or maybe even make an SP option for the fragmentizer?
Make a new 'limited' edition pet or a potion that costs SP only. No elixirs for them, if the person wants the pet/potion they have to go to wherever staff chose to put it and purchase it with SP (with the option to convert a current pet or make a new one). Depending on the popularity of the pet or potion color you could charge several million, perhaps more (which is why I would suggest a suggestion board before doing this one to narrow down the scope of what sort of pet/color they would like to see next on the site). Buying a Neela comes out to be about 10 million sp so if the pet/color is appealing a SP price tag like that should be a decent sink. Possibly place it in the millionaire center if it's a potion.
Give the Hustler a shop instead of just a 'game' - or do both even. Fill it with randomly priced boxes that may or not have something good. The more expensive, the higher rarity (which =/= sp value for a lot of things), so it shouldn't really deflate anything too badly.
Maybe an option to donate SP to the library or some other place that would make sense? In exchange for readable pamphlets or achievements or the chance to boost intelligence - or maybe an temporary account 'buff' that makes REs more common because of good karma? xD
Just throwing out ideas as they pop into my head. Not to be taken too seriously. xD
I really like the suggestions from , in particular the donating point and getting small buffs.
I may be back to this topic later but for now I'll join the people who said skins aren't really a good idea... account buffs could be, if they were small buffs! Bigger buffs I'd suggest as achievement prizes for people who go far with their collections, etc, basically things that also mean working on your account. c:
However, obligatory "please bring the cruise hairstyles back at a higher cost" mention here! I think whenever the salon actually gets fixed, it has a lot of potential to be a money sink. (Not because of the fee every time you save, though! I mean selling some hairstyles for actual sP c: )
I think stocking more items into the MC would be great, especially consumables. Maybe opening small windows of time when items like MKBs could be purchased within smaller time intervals (ex. 30-minute intervals for a day), stuff like that. The MC could actually be sinking a lot more than it does!
[edit] The Hustler (sP version) is a really nice idea too, 's suggestions are straight to the point!
[edit] Editing again because I remember people once suggested pet overlays to be purchasable with sP, in exceptional situations (maybe a redeemable voucher for pet overlays occasionally stocked in limited amounts in the MC, with semi equivalent value to its csc counterpart). If it's at all feasible, it would be great c: Helps a bit in taking the spending focus away from wearable people, haha. I wonder if it's also possible to have more middle-range weapons (for middle-range tiers, too) perma-stocked there? Or book/sticker/beanbag packs... etc.
- Removed the hexes/skins idea because I wasn't aware it was shot down multiple times. Quoted you both for the first post.
Actually, they're already sinking sP with the SubQ REs that seems more common. With the Peka-Boo, the fashion yurts mainly sank hundreds of millions sP... But I like the idea of a MC pet and the cruiser hairstyles back (:
Exchanging sp for items is not exactly a sp sink because they are transferable and resellable. So down the line since they retain value and that value goes up, it ends up being more than the hundreds of millions of sp it took the system to begin with. I only really see that as temporary because NPC shop sellers are not actual people so the currency they take stays out. Does what I am saying make sense?
An MC pet would be great, I totally agree.
but the sP you wasted on the item will never be replaced... Subeautique is an official shop. I agree with you that sP for item isn't a sink... in usershops.
Very true but with the amount of sp going into the system it still doesn't balance out. Like sure you buy an Item for say 150k that 150k is out of the system but new sp goes in and that item is now in play for usershops so it just keeps the newer sp in circulation. I am just looking for benefits or putting in an means of currency that is harder to obtain. For example the smelter, or mc pet, or temporary site benefits such as decreased training, one suggestion was a donation where it would increase the odds of you getting RE's due to good karma. I am looking at it in the sense of things that only affect the user.
I know in the past gold accounts have been put in the MC very temporarily (I know they have put in the week long GAs before, I don't know about the month long) so I think that adding other cash shop account features is a good idea. I'd probably buy a pet overlay feature from the MC. Maybe something like 20m-30m. (Which is more than the current shop value of 500CSC)
bird and bear and hare and fish give my love her fondest wish
I just can't see Keith going with the donation for buffs (actually, that'd be buying buffs). I think the buffs idea was to be random (like the fast feet buff). And I still don't see items as currency. The currency is gone when you bought them, now you have the item. You can sell it, but the money that will come back for you will be from another user. And if he sells, it'll come from another user... An infinite cicle. The last one to grab the item will have the item, not sP. Even though most of people buy it to keep (like clothes, books, etc), or to resell (like the MKBs). But they resell for people who'll use, so it's the cicle thing
I'm not sure deflation is necessary to increase the amount of fun here, but I'll bite, just for the lulz.
There already is a pays-yer-money-takes-yer-chances Hustler-like system (in addition to the two that the Hustler runs), two of them really. Mystery Box in Arctic Frost, and the Oracle Shop run by Elwood.
Easier than any or all of these would be to gradually decrease the sP-output of Quests and Games. Less total sP in, less need to take sP out. Typically when deflationary things happen though, users SCREAM and they also mulishly refuse to lower their prices even in the face of lack of sales, and demand that SubetaTeam inflate the prices of things that they feel must-be-precious (even if nobody wants them).
Books already increase your INT exactly as you have described, and whomever buys them first from the official shops is taking that sP out of the system. INT boosters also already exist. How many more books and how much should they cost? What about players that never fight (INT is needed for scrolls) and whose owners don't read to them (since it's entirely optional)? Once a pet is SAI-smart, they won't need to buy other books again, but sP earning potential still exists.
There already are sP priced expensive coloring potions for pets to drink in the Millionaire Center. How many more colors are you talking about and how expensive should they be? After someone colors up their pet, they won't need to buy another, but they'll still be able to earn more sP.
