Almost a year ago - Cults 111 brainstorming

Since then we've had new forums which don't work properly. Wardrobe that has been in what feels likes months and months of beta. and a new achievement system.

Which begs the question... We going to see cults in the first half of this decade?

I would love a cult revamp. I understand that there are other things that need seeing to, but I feel like this system has been neglected for so long and it's such a large part of the site that it does definitely deserve some TLC.

I'm not surprised is that okay to say?

Though personally with the state of the forums I'm glad the wardrobe has been in beta so long. I suspect we're going to see a lot of issues until all areas of the site are up to the same basic coding standard, which right now they're not (I believe staff have said that it was a choice between updating in bits, or take the whole site down indefinitely to rebuild). I'd very much like to see cults updated though =| they're in SUCH bad condition I'm actually surprised the page hasn't been taken down until the revamp is ready, tbh they're a real blot on the site as they are now.

Hahaha, I was just thinking that we have wardrobe, forums and achievements all in some beta flux. Throw cults and battling in there too and put every major site feature into testing. :P

Not to say I don't support this, of couse... but gosh, I'd love it for the site to follow through and finish something.

I can't find it, but I could have sworn that at one point posted that the forum revamp would have to be completed before cults could be, because cults use the forum system... Maybe he can come clarify?

Cult revamp? Bahahahaha-

I've been here for almost 5 years and in that time, the cults have always been "under revamp."

I stopped believing in and caring for Subeta's "soon" and it helps me to prevent frustration and premature skin aging.

LAUGHS I will actually be so amazed I will make a video congratulating Subeta if we ever see a cult revamp in the next century. Though, if we ever DO see one, it will be broken just like the new forums

LOL. So true tho. I get it that things are probably not going to be 100% until everything is moved to the new code, but stuff is functioning really badly and it all just seems to be getting left behind when novelty wears off, with more and more bugs showing up as time goes on.

Btw I totally support cults 110%. I just second here.

Or at least finish it as well as possible within current code, which sure doesn't seem to be the case right now.

Considering this thread is usually something I, as the official cults dead horse beater, usually end up making yearly I think says a lot lol The moment I stopped expecting cults to EVER get a revamp, the happier I became. So at this point based on jaded experience, I expect cults to get revamped in the never side of time. If by some drunken whim they do ever decide to work on them, I fully expect them to be so hilariously poorly executed the feedback thread is nothing but a wall of majestic fail gifs.

Cult revamp is an urban legend.:P

I would love to see the revamp actually happen (without being a fiasco) or at least believe this project hasn't been forgotten about.
