So I got a wish today and after two hours no one had claimed it so I canceled it. But after I did, it said that I had to grant someone's wish before I could make my own wish.

It seems to be random whether or not you have to grant a wish before you can make one. I have granted wishes each day, but 2 of the days I put a wish through first without issue. The first day it made me grant.
