Alright, I mentioned this here, though I was not the first person to come up with it. We were given the option to cancel our own wish if it's left ungranted after two hours. Can we please change it so that wishes cancel automatically if ungranted after two hours? It would help to clear out the ridiculous wishes that people are still making, and I feel like if people would have to continually re-add their wishes, less of them would be bothered to wish for things like a SecondSkin or Malice.

If two hours is too short, make it 3-4 or something, just please auto-remove these wishes instead of just giving us the option. The kinds of people asking for these things aren't the kinds of people who are going to cancel and make a reasonable wish, just in case it gets granted.

Yes please :)

Maybe let the player cancel it after 1 hour, and then auto-clear at 3 hours?

I'd rather not have this; it would be rather bothersome to have to come back online every two hours to renew my wish. Besides, sometimes it takes the right person coming online for a wish to be granted. I like how it works now that we have the option to change the wish after two hours.

I actually like this. People now have the choice to change their ridiculous wish (no you're not getting an Ether or SecondSkin, stop asking) and yet they don't. Remove that crap, I don't want to see it anymore. I think 2 hours is a bit short (though I have yet to have a problem with my wish taking that long to be granted). It would be nice to see this implemented, even if for a day to see how it goes.

You grant a cheap wish, ask for a 400mil item, and no one grants it. It gets cancelled and you lost out on your wish until you grant someone else's. Maybe it'll teach people to ask for realistic items, since the achievement and option to change wishes didn't really do that.

Naaa. Dont like this idea. I wish for realistic priced items, around 5-10 mil, and i only grant a wish if it´s around there. But what if i grant someone a really expensive wish, or if someone is really generous and grants someone eles (for say a 1000 credit gift card), and only wishes for a 500 back. Is it up to Subeta then to "teach people" by clearing that wish after 3H?

I'm not a fan of this, personally. I'm pretty positive I've had pretty reasonable (and my definition of reasonable is under 10m) wishes granted over 2 hours after I posted them.

What you're asking for really has nothing to do with the last wish you granted though. Just because you granted a ridiculous wish doesn't really mean you "deserve" to ask for something equally ridiculous. If you're going to be the person to grant a wish for an Ether, it should be because you want to, not because you want the Ether back later.

This is supposed to be about giving. So yes, wish for something ridiculous if you want, but be prepared to keep re-listing it as it gets canceled every x hours, if you're that determined to ask for it.

Or place them in a gallery of older wishes. That might work better.

People can still grant expensive wishes, but over on another page with the other dusty wishes.

Guys, I added the two hours bit because that's what it's at currently. The exact time span is not actually that important, staff can change it as they see fit :P The only change I'm really looking for is for wishes to be cleared automatically rather than leaving it up to users to clear them on their own.

I agree, personally. For one, if I were giving away 1k csc I would MUCH rather give ten users 100csc. If I wanted to spend 10m, I would much rather give as many users gifts as possible with that 10m. While asking for something more expensive isn't inherently stingy, continuously asking for overtly expensive items and expecting them to be handed to you kind of is. And I would much rather give to those asking for less. For two, all the wish items that aren't being granted are mucking up the shrub. All it's doing is keeping people with more reasonable wishlist items from wishing for something. This also turns around to people being 'forced' into giving. Instead of "I am generous" it's "wow, you better be thankful." They then feel the need to ask for something similar to "break even." Kind of makes people not want to give anything.

All of the people asking for expensive items are going to scream themselves hoarse.

Edit: Am I literally the only user to realize that not everyone thinks 'up to 10m' is reasonable ? Hi, newer users aren't going to be able to do that. If they do have enough, it won't be more than one, maybe two. What an amazing event to walk in on. "Hi, welcome to the site, give me something worth a good portion of your time. OR DON'T PARTICIPATE !"

Befor you tell me what it is about, perhaps you shuld reed up on it..... If someones deepest desire is to wish for an Ether, they shuld have the right to do so. They will probably not get one, and by not getting one, they will miss out on the Achievement, but that´s up to them. Not for any one eles.

I'm pretty much all for this. Every day I've spent several hours refreshing at the shrub trying to catch something reasonably priced, but its constantly clogged up with ridiculous things. You see the same items rattling around all day; there really is no point in them being there after a while. Imposing price limits isn't going to happen and people aren't using the two hour take-back function. If you don't want to have to constantly check back to re-make your wish, then maybe you should put more thought into what your wishing for. It's much less of an inconvenience than most of the site struggling to find something they're willing to shell out for.

I'm pretty sure that the text about "your hearts desire" is hyperbole. Just because it says that, it doesn't mean you deserve to get it. I'm not wishing for the things I want the most because I'm aware that they're stupidly expensive and that it's unfair to ask that of strangers. People really need to think more about how their expensive wishes have a knock-on effect. Sure, you can do what you want, but being able to do so doesn't automatically make it acceptable.

But there are pepole granting high valued items every day, just check the Got your Peka-Boo wish granted

I think it´s better then to have 2 different Wishing Shrubs. One for those ho wish to hope for expencive items, and one where there can be a cap. That shuld be the most easy and fair.

Couse again. I think if someone grants a wish, (and i dont care of what it costs), they shuld be free to wish for what ever they want. But if they get´s it granted is another story. Their loss.

This proposal doesn't necessarily stop people asking for higher priced things, or from people granting them. It allows for a reasonable time frame to so that in (I think four hours would be more appropriate than two). I just think that something really needs to be done about the items people really aren't going to go for and end up sitting there all day. Of course, it does nothing to stop people wishing for the same thing again, but adding that layer of inconvenience to people making excessive wishes while allowing greater movement of items through the shrub is no bad thing.

And i think that those who are ok with granting other users dreams probably will stop doing this if they are forced to log in and renew there own wishes, and grant a new every 2H.

I'd hate it if this happens. It wouldn't deter people from asking for the expensive things. Those people would just keep asking for the same thing every two hours. They didn't stop when they were given the option to cancel after two hours, and they didn't stop when the new achievement was made. They're going to keep asking for those things regardless of what happens, unless a cap or something is put into place and they can't wish for it.

Having to rewish every two hours would just annoy me, but it wouldn't stop me, and I can't imagine it'd stop anyone asking for a bunch of CSC or a rare weapon.

I think maybe at 6 hours, or hell even 12 hours... but it would probably be nice to have ungranted wishes auto-expire at least once per day!

(Just not 2-3 hours because it'd be bothersome for people to renew their wishes so often. Subeta has quiet hours, and, like someone said, sometimes it takes the right person being in... especially for those requests of old retired items for TCs, collections, stuff that otherwise "has no use" )

Edit: Yeah, to stop people from wishing high, others would have to stop granting... since lots of 250-500 csc things keep being gifted, I don't really see the value coming down just yet x: (can't really blame people for going all in because hey, one-time available achievement)

I dont agree, mostly because say you make your wish in the morning, then dont log on all day, your wish will have been cancelled after 2 hours and then thats your chance of having your wish granted for the day gone.

Say you wished for a 250 credit gift card. There are tons of those at the shrub, but it doesnt mean that yours wont get granted, i see people granting 250 credit gift card wishes all the time and if yours gets cancelled after 2 hours then your out of luck. Some times wishes just take time, or the right person to grant it - if you wish for an obscure wearable for example, someone might have it rotting in their wardrobe and be willing to give it away (ive granted 3 wishes like this so far!) but you just need to wait for the right person!

It's currently monday, 11 am, wishes are not going to be granted as fast as on the weekend.

Yes, it would have been useful this weekend bur now, with the achievements, it's really capped.

I'm having enough trouble as it is finding what I consider "reasonable" wishes, if anything that's been on the shrub for so-many hours was put into a separate section or something it would make it a whole lot easier.

I'm tired of sifting through 30+ csc cards among other things. Yes, 30+ I counted once. Not everyone can spend all their sP on csc cards/super mega ultra expensive items. Shouldn't everyone have a chance?
