Sheer Noir presents: Case Pekaboo

Sheer Noir is bringing a very special Peka-Boo event to you! Please be fair and conform the etiquette. Feel free to ping other people or forum groups.

Case Pekaboo This is a crime event. Will you catch the murderer? We prepared a mixture of quiz questions, a HA creation and general creativity for you :3 Are you having fun already? ✌

We are giving out points for every step of this event. The user with the most points will win the event (obviously ;) ). Points are given by Cinderella and Alenwen, but when it comes to creativity questions the whole band might vote :) You can find your points in post 2 below.

Day One - Over

Storyline Day One If you believe that there are only glamorous spots in Centropolis, you are proved wrong. Centroplis has certain lanes and spots that are dangerous and not recommended as travel destination. Especially the dark gap behind the Epicon centre, although several people dare to visit this region because a bar named "Keith's" is located there. "Keith's" bar is the only place where the successful band "Sheer Noir" played their concerts.

The members of "Sheer Noir" were all best friends. They usually spent their holidays together and met as often as possible, as band and in their free time. Of course they didn't forget their families and the band members visited them regularly. One day when they returned into "Keith's" bar, they found their room in a mess. It looked like a burglar was there!

When Alenwen, Cinderella, Pyataboo, Zoila, Isabel and Arbitrary arrived in the basement of the bar they noticed that their seventh member Pekaboo was still missing. Didn't he return yet? Cinderella: "Zoila, could you please try to call him on his phone?" Zoila grabbed her glittering mobile out and dialed his number. They heard his ring tone coming from the upper room. The band members got excited and ran up the stairs. They noticed that the ring tone came out of the freezer. Pyataboos face became whiter than before when she slowly walked over to the freezer. Isabel and Arbitrary ran over to her and helped her to open the cover. Then, you could hear six people scream as loud as never before. Their beloved band member Pekaboo has been murdered.

Task Day One What was the motive for the crime? Why did Pekaboo die? You will have to guess, please write something funny or crazy. There is no wrong or right answer, just be creative :D The best answer will win!

Day Two - Over

Storyline Day Two In deep sorrow, "Sheer Noir" decided to cancel all of their concerts until the circumstances of Pekaboos dead would be solved. One hour later, they announced their decision to the public.

Their fans were shocked and couldn't believe the rumours that spread like a wildfire. Pekaboo, the best looking guy of the band passed away? Girl dreams broke. Hopes were shattered into pieces. And how could their favourite band of all time stop playing concerts?

Soon, the whole internet was full of discussions over "Case Pekaboo". Fans started petitions to get "Sheer Noir" back on the stage, without having success. Others were interested in helping the band to gather more facts about the whole situation - and YOU were one of them. ☺

You are now part of a small group of people that meets in "Keith's" bar to plan their further steps. First of all, you look closer at the crime scene. The freezer is located on the right side of a small cooking-corner in "Sheer Noir's" private room. The whole room is still a mess. While looking around you are somehow afraid that other fans could steal personal belongings of the band to sell them for astronomical amounts. 😱 You put this idea aside, walk over to the freezer and look into it. Nothing reminds of the crime, it is just a blank freezer.

Suddenly a girl screams from the other corner of the room! "I found something!" Everyone gathers in the middle of the room, staring at the little object in her hand. The dusky light makes it difficult to identify the item.

Day Three - Over

Storyline Day Three "That's a Captured Pixie ", someone says. "Maybe the killer lost it? May I have a closer look at it please?" The girl who found the Pixie hands it over to the guy that just asked for it. He turns it around several times and suddenly shouts: "get me a magnifying glass quick! There is something written on the bottom of the flask, but it's too tiny to read!" Six fans jump up and run across the room to search for a magnifying glass. You stay in the middle of the room together with the guy and the flask in his hand. You try to decipher the letters, but they are too damn small. The magnifying glass arrives along with a breathless girl. "Here you go!" she gasps. A crackling tension lies in the air.

are the words written on the bottom of the flask. Why would anyone go there, is the first thought that comes to your mind. The Cash Shop Cafe, in other words CSC, is the name of a club that has it's residence in Shadowglen. A cold shiver runs down your spine. There are alot of rumours about this cafe and they are either mysterious or dangerous. It's all about large amounts of money in drugs and money-laundering and other criminal activities. You are now sure, that your greatest idol "Sheer Noir" doesn't have anything in common with this Captured Pixie. How could they have a link to the CSC? "Let's go to Shadowglen. Who wants to come with me?" Your words are breaking the silence that settled down in the room.

You arrive at the Cash Shop Cafe together with three other fans. The Cafe lies near the forest in the shadow of the trees. You take all of your courage and walk towards the entrance. A few guests leave the club and you suddenly notice that you are dressed up totally wrong! You have to change your clothes, otherwise you might attract too much attention!

Task Day Three Dress up yourself as a "Sheer Noir" member to get into the Cash Shop Cafe. You need to create an avatar (HA) in the "Film Noir" style, just like our band. :) Creativity counts! This can also be a parody on us ;) HAVE FUN!

Every participant is allowed to post 1 self created HA matching the bands style on the board
You don't need to own the items you are using, you don't need to post the items and you may use a HA generator.
If you are unable to upload an image you can dress up and use your current HA as entry. We will save the HA ourself then.

Day Four - Over

Storyline Day Four You and the other three fans change your clothes and try to enter the Cash Shop Cafe. The doorman is giving you nods and you pass the entry. They will certainly think that you are "Sheer Noir" and who doesn't want them in their club as a guest? "Perfect, we made it!" First of all you notice the dimmed light inside the club, but you can't even use the word "light" to describe the level of brightness anymore. Lots of golden dollar signs are hanging from the ceiling which create an odd atmosphere in the room. There are many dark brown tables and chairs scattered everywhere. Along the wall you can see glass cases with dummys, displaying the newest fashion. Small price tags at the bottom of every glass case name the exclusive price for every piece of cloth. They are way too expensive for you.

Both, the staff and the guests create the impression that they are having a very good time. All at once a lady approaches you. "Hey, is that you?" she asks you. Pyataboo of "Sheer Noir" stands right in front of you. The real Pyataboo! The other three fans start to scream behind you. It is the first time that they meet their idol at such a close range. But you - remain calm. "Hello neighbour!" is your answer and you show your friendliest smile to her. "I'm really sorry to hear what happened to your brother Pekaboo." The other fans are on the edge of loosing their minds. "Sheer Noir" never revealed to the public that Pyataboo and Pekaboo were siblings. Your companions make their way to the bar to get a drink. Or two. Maybe three.

"I don't know what to do anymore", continues Pyataboo. "I wonder if my brother had enemies? There are none that I could think of. I visited his secret hideout yesterday, but I didn't find any clues why all of this is happening." She sighs, then she grabs something out of her handbag. "This is the only thing that I found and it lead me here. But I still know nothing." You recognize the Bottled Pixie in her hand. "We found one of these in "Keith's" bar aswell! What's the function of them?" you ask. "If I only knew", Pyataboo answers and shakes her head. An idea comes to your mind and you place everything on one card: "Would you grant me access to Pekaboo's hideout? Maybe I find something that you missed?

You can see her thinking. "Why not. We know each other for a long time now, so I guess I can trust you. I will give you the key to his hideout if you show me that you are seriously interested in helping to catch the murderer of my brother. Answer my riddle and the key is yours!" You nod. Of course you are interested!

Alice is eating dinner in a restaurant. While eating her soup, she looks out of the window and catches a glimpse of a big, gorgeous church. During the main course she is looking out of the same window and views on a dark forest. Then, she sips a coffee to her dessert and looks out of the window again. This time she looks on an ugly power plant. How is this possible?

Task Day Four Please answer the riddle above and tell us how this is possible.

To make it easier, we have placed 5 red letters on the profiles of our band members. (you can find them listed in the first post) The letters are all written in red and in upper case. Find the 5 letters, bring them in the correct order and you will get a tip for the solution of the riddle. You don't have to search for the 5 letters, but maybe you want a proof that you are right!

Day Five - Over

Storyline Day Five You tell Pyataboo the correct answer of her riddle. "Promised is promised", she says and hands over the key to Pekaboos hideout. "Maybe you have better luck than me. I hope you will return with good news! And please do me a favour. Don't tell anyone about the hideout or what you may find there." She describes you the location and how to get there.

Sooner or later you arrive at the destination. The other three fans are still with you, a bit drunk from the cocktails they had in the Cash Shop Cafe, but indeed very motivated. Tension lies in the air when you open the door with a loud scraping noise.

Inside the room you can hardly believe your eyes: Pekaboo collected hundreds of Captured Pixes! They are stored in shelves, standing on tables and lying on the floor. You can't hold back a "Oh my god, what is this?". The Pixies send out pink glittering rays of light. The whole scene looks unreal and bizarre. So many Captured Pixies in very limited space! One of the fans asks: "What is the function of those Pixies? I have never seen a Pixie in a bottle before we found one of them in "Keith's" bar!" "Open a bottle?" you suggest. The fan is a bit concerned, but picks up a bottle and removes the lock.

The Pixie flies out instantly and lasts over your heads. You and the fans watch the spectacle excitedly and wonder what the Pixie is going to do. Pink glitter floats down on all of you from the Pixies wings. Suddenly you feel weightless and all sorrows disappear. You smile and the smile gets bigger and happier, the longer you stand in the Pixie dust. The other fans react the same way. They all look very happy and satisfied. One of them starts to laugh like he was high and you compare it with...

Now you realize what the effect of Pixie dust is: it's a drug! But it's too late already. You inhalated alot of the dust and your mind blurrs more and more. Your knees become weak and you have to sit down on the floor. A small paper under the couch attracts your attention. It seems to be miles away, but it's actually very close to you. You catch the paper with all of your remaining power and start to read the letters on it.

Task Day Five Nothing, sleepyhead!

[spoiler=Day Six - Over] Storyline Day Six You wake up in the jail. All of your body feels heavy, you don't know what time it is, what you did or where you are. The last thing that you remember is, that someone released a Captured Pixie. You look around and notice a person in the visitors area.
