there's a sitewide event coming up, and you will not be able to participate without it. This means you won't get any event-specific items or achievements. Today is perhaps the very last day for someone who just joined Subeta to have time to do all the Wizard Quests that they can and get enough WT to buy one when the event starts.

It's been implied you need to wear it like a Hypno Monocle or Minion Nip works, but in other events it was necessary to have it Locked in your Inventory instead of in your clothing. I'd try wearing it first.

this event is, based on the poster, going to be something similar to the Councilor's Cruise event. There's pieces of that event on the Subeta Wiki, if you are interested.

The main differences so far is that you need to buy a ticket and it appears to be staying in Peka instead of going around the map. It also appears that the Battle of the Bands will be a costume contest, which the Cruise didn't have. I would expect that there will be Battling in the Coloseum, event-specific foods and clothes to buy, and gaming Achievements to get.

The current land maps of Subeta are new and were introduced in CC. Also they Subetapedia was expanded to tell us more about the lands, and we met NPCs from each land. It was like a Magical Mystery Tour.

Peka used to just have the Peka Glade. This event may add new places to all that empty lawn in Peka region in addition to the Glade, or the current map may go back to how it was. Right now Elwood's Oracle Shop, Gym Vending Machine and the sP Voucher Exchange are homeless, you'd only know about them from someone telling you because the only way to find them now is to URL them or Google search them.

is a User Administrator, so what she says counts. There have been other events like the Atebus Historical Society one where "having it on you" doesn't mean wearing it but meant having it in your Inventory (instead of say the Vault or a Shop), so if she hand't said that here, I wouldn't have inferred it from the original news post. If you get taxed by the Sebastian Phoenix RE, for instance, the sp in "your pocket" counts, but sP that's Vault-ed doesn't.
