On the submission form for Battle of the Bands, it says a maximum of 6 members for a public band. It says nothing about the private bands, yet there are still only 6 places for member names.

Any ideas on the limits for a private band?

For private bands, band members have to be added manually, so one can limit the amount of band members by choosing how many to allow into the band. For a public band, I think band members can join automatically without being added by the creator of the band (I'm in a private band and not 100% sure on this), which is why the number of band members can be set.

I've addd some members to a private band, but I still only have six slots total (including myself). Extra slots haven't appeaered.

I believe 6 is the limit to both, but you can have less in a private band without random people joining, wereas with a public band the number of people who can join is based on the limit. So lets say you're in a public band and you're alone, if you have 6 total slots that means that 5 other people can join, if you have it set as 4 total slots only 3 other people could join.

So private or public, you can't have a band with more than 6 members.
