Hey i don't want to sound stupid here but, how do you earn/get Alchemy Points?

-Cor By reading books to your pet c: There are items that boost intelligence as well, but since you're new you won't really need to worry about those yet. Every 16th book read will get you an Alchemy Point, if you do use intelligence boosters, you won't get the points until you read a book (I'm honestly not completely sure, but you may still need to read a book on your 16th intelligence point in order to get the AP you're missing)

Yes -- you're right. The 16th book has to be a book to get the Ap awarded right away. Otherwise you have to wait until another 16…

But what about missed points? Because I've heard conflicting things about whether you have to read a book on the 16th point or if you'll get the missed points any time you read a book

Say on the 16th you use a booster instead of a book. You don't get awarded the AP. Then you go another 16 -- and this time on the 16th you read a book. You'll get 2 AP. 1 for the book you just read and the 1 that was "skipped" before. So you never get cheated out of any AP, just sometimes it is awarded later.

Okay -- it HAS to be on the 16th. The 15th doesn't matter. Make sure you don't use a booster on the 15th that could give you more than 1 intel -- that would make you have to go another 16…

I can confirm what has said. My pets are high enough level now that a lot of their gains are in boosters like Tomes that also boost INT. I keep a stash of extra regular ol' books in my Vault if I can, and I read them on 14-15-16 to make sure I don't miss the AP. 14 and 15 don't matter, nor do they grant missed AP, this is just to ensure that I get my AP on 16 exactly as INT boosters can be random. I sometimes have risked the one-third chance of Tome-ing my pet when it was on 13, and have gotten 3 INT several times in a row for the same pet, so I can say from experience that the system does remember to grant 3 AP on INT point number 48 if you read a book for that one.
