After a certain amount of time (I want to say like a year but I don't know for sure honestly at the moment) of not being online your username and pets' names are up for grabs. Yours must have been taken while you were away.

Edit: I had those two pets for SIX YEARS. And now they're not even the same anymore. I'm extremely angry.

Yep, if you've been gone a year, your username and pet names are up for grabs. This has ALWAYS been a thing, accounts used to be completely wiped from the system.

It might seem unfair but it happens. When you become inactive for over a year, your pets names and your username become fair game for anyone who may have been stalking the names.

Well I'm going to go back to never logging in again. Hope they steal the rest of my pets' names.

I don't see why people get so rageful and feel it's so unfair if they haven't logged on in past a year. It's not that hard to find nice names now that people get cleared after a year of being inactive.

It's not really unfair at all. Sure, I'm sure if I was in your position, I'd be a bit flustered, but this has been in place for a very long time. Your account has been here for 6 years, so account clearings are honestly something you should have known about if you've spent much time at all here during those six years. If you can't bother to get on once every 365 days, why should usernames and pet names that someone who is very active on (and likely supporting) the site may be interested in be kept from them because they're stored on an inactive account who no longer plays or who no longer makes the effort to get on at least once a year? At least your account and all the items you worked hard for weren't wiped completely -- which is what used to happen.

Honestly, I think if you haven't bothered to be around in that long...you have no right to be angry. And your "well I'm just gonna go back to not being around anymore, that'll show 'em" attitude is just another reason to not feel bad in the slightest for you. If you can't be bothered to get online and be active, you should at least be grateful that your entire account wasn't just deleted to clear up space in the servers.

I don't think I quite get the big deal. If somebody snatches your pet's name, don't you get to change that name again for free? So find another attractive name to change it to, seriously NOT a hard task, and maybe quit bitching about the fact that, oh fucking waaaaaaah, they give preferential treatment to PLAYERS THAT ARE ACTIVE AND WORTH A DAMN.
