Species/Color/Minion Help for Adventure Time Fanpe

A couple of months ago I decided there wasn't enough love to Simon Petrikov. So I found Evicted in the pound and decided to turn him into a homage to the buried human faction of the Ice King's mind.
Long story short: I have a plan for this pet right now, but I'm not sure it's the best plan. So I was wondering what other color/species combos and minions you think would be appropriate for Evicted.
More Background Story
For those who don't watch Adventure Time, Ice King is the creepy-but-usually-harmless wizard antagonist of the show. It was revealed a season or two ago that he used to be a human named Simon, but after getting a hold of a cursed crown he became "infected" with its influence and slowly started turning into the Ice King. 1000 years later and he barely remembers who he once was, but there are still bits and pieces of Simon's personality shining through.
Really the pet's based on this fantastic fancomic I stumbled upon. I love the idea of Simon being trapped in his own mind and struggling to break the crown's influence. But until then he's overshadowed by this "Ice King" that the crown's conjured, hence him being "evicted".
(maybe get an overlay with more ice around him for a 'frozen' look)
