I just started, and I'm trying to go through the tutorial. After I created a pet I was instructed to feed it a red apple from my inventory. But when I tried to it said my inventory was locked and now I'm stuck in a loop cuz I can't complete this step. Also I'm not sure how I'll get a reply from this. Will it notify me, or do I have to look for it?

there is a small lock symbol under the apple? If so, click it. This should unlock the apple.

You can ping someone with an @ sign in front of their name, or by clicking the first symbol in the upper right corner (in the colored bar) of the post you are responding to.

There are a bunch of us that hang here in Help & QUestions, how long you have to wait mostly depends on who's awake and if they know the answer.

Clicking on the lock symbol just refreshes the page! Now I can't even find the stupid tutorial again anyway.

It sounds like you're getting confused by a site feature. Your inventory isn't locked. There is a feature that allows you to lock a limited number of items in your inventory. 5 for regular users. 10 for Gold Accounts.

See the two sections here? The "Inventory" section displays unlocked items. The "Locked" section is for items that I have locked to protect them.

Clicking the lock icon on your apple just moved it between those two sections. The page refreshed to show your changes. This is normal. :)

You should be able to just click on the apple itself and feed it to your pet.
