I know you're out there. Taking out student loans. Working a crappy job just to pay for school and live with the parents. Maybe you have kids too. Trying to make a better life for yourself. Wondering if you will even be able to find a job. Maybe you hate your major. Maybe you just graduated and found out you hated your major. I've heard a lot from my friends. It's not the most awesome thing ever, but I must say I love college and going to class. I hated high school and I usually enjoy class discussion now. I'm a psychology major and I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet (as I'm still only a freshman) but my goal is to reach the PHD possibly MD level. So yeah. Tell me about your major, experience, what you plan to do afterwards and all that jazz! 8D
I'm a college student. I'm currently a Medical Technology major but I'm trying to decide if it's for me or if I should change to History and get my Master's in Museum Studies. I'm not sure yet. I know I would like working as a med tech but I'm not sure if I can get through the program. At least with History, I know I will. I'm just worried about finding a job once I graduate with it. I know there are med tech jobs but it requires 5 chemistry classes. I don't know what to do yet.
Omg. That's me. Even though I don't always like it. :c I'm a super senior and hoping to finish this next year. Out on summer break right now!

Psych major, just changed my future job aim from FBI to school psychologist xP Addicted to adoptable click sites, and Subeta even more. Love drawing <3 Entering my junior year already! D:
Went to the biggest school in my state last year in the best city ever and loved living on my own and everything. Got a full time job making 16.69 at a warehouse with full benefits + union. Its a great job. I was going to drop out because what job would I get where I would be making that much from an art major? lol
But ill be attending an art college in the fall as a super freshman, but only part time because my job is more important + my aunt is kicking me out in september. yay
Here here here.
Visual Arts major living with parent and have luckily avoided debt so far. c: Community college is much more forgiving in tuition than major universities ;A;

Marketing Major! Small town that sucks butt xD I have more experience in my field than most graduates with a marketing degree. Will probably have 7 years of experience by the time I graduate. Only reason I'm getting my degree is to be able to be paid more and opening up more opportunities if something happens at my current job.

Sup. I'm currently attending a state college while still living with my parents. General Studies major. I want to major in Musical Theatre but the college doesn't offer any theatre majors. :( After I get my Associates in Arts degree I'll be moving and attending a university with a really good Musical Theatre program to get my Bachelors in Fine Arts degree. I'm currently applying for very regular customer service jobs right now. Where I'll be moving will have a lot of theatre and entertainment opportunities to choose from which I'm really excited about!
I live in dorms. It's not fun all the time. Depends on your roommates. I am in college, going for Animation. Getting my bachelors it's very exhausting but I love it. I just now got into my sophmore year. It feels weird that I've been here at the Art Institute for a year now. (:
Ping me please so I can respond to your messages~! <3
I'm finishing up A.A. general studies this summer. Next summer, I'll be finishing up an A.A. in theater design. I want to work in theater shops doing sets and props.
After paying off debt and knowing where I'll be living next year, I want to go into social work. My dream is to start a non-profit that brings theater to people that usually don't have a chance to experience it. I also want these people to be involved in the theater process, like acting, painting, design, etc.
The one thing I hate about college is homework. It's still a waste of time to me. And essays, especially MLA format. Everything else about college is great! There's fun activities, classes can be engaging, and I get to talk to a lot of people!
I'm living with roommates for the next school year. I have a part time job (trying to get a second one) and student loans to pay for my expenses. I can't live with my parents due to verbal and emotional abuse. I wish I could... I wouldn't have to work so much (or at all) and I could focus solely on school. It's really hard to get good grades while working, but I try.
College student forever because I'm procrastinating at 3 am on a website that's about pets.
Come fall, I'll be a second semester sophomore. 20 years old and I have an almost 11 month old. My current major is early childhood special education, but I'm also leaning towards child psych. I went to a university for one semester where my dorm room was in hotel, found out I was pregnant, and have been going to community college since. I still have bills to pay for that one semester since tuition was nearly 34k... Community college on the other hand, same classes and I go for free lol.
This fall will be my fourth year in college. Im a senior year-wise, but credit-wise I am a semester behind because I transferred. I am double majoring in Marketing Communications with a concentration in Graphic Design and my second major is Web Media (Web design). Im 21 and still live with my parents which isnt bad. My school is only 5 miles from my house so I saw no point in living in a dorm. I had friends who lived in the dorms, and I was almost always there so I got bits and pieces of the dorm experience :)
Yo. I'm majoring in Illustration/Animation (A.I. for short), cause you get to choose after you take your lower division courses. I'm about to start my fourth year, and because our program is terribly impacted, most people take 5-6 years to graduate. Yaaay.... Actually, I love college. I actually love learning, it's just school that gets in my way. I hated high school, except for those few teachers/classes that everyone loved. Stayed in the dorms my freshman year, and now I'm living with the parents, which is fine. Dorm food sucked, and my roommates were worse. But yeah, I get along with pretty much everyone in my art classes, and I'm definitely going to miss college life after I graduate.
Oh hey, just noticed you're an animation major too! =) I've seen a lot of kinda vague art majors floating around the site, but it's nice to find another possible animator. I say possible cause, at least at my school, there are lots of different career paths after graduation. How did your first year classes go?
Hey :) I'm just starting my 3rd year of anthropology and archaeology at the University of Aberdeen It's the 4th oldest university in Britain so it's really pretty and historic; but it's also bloody freezing.
Hi :9 I'm a freshmen at Florida Atlantic University and I'm studying to be plastic surgeon. Our mascot is the burrowing owl and we have them on campus :D
It was not bad. Pretty stressful with some classes. Living in Indiana it is very hard to be an art student let alone trying to get a career in Animation. I am now in my 5th quarter just started my 2nd year. I guess there are 4 quarters a year. I started last July. Anywho I really like it I only wish our vacation time was a tad bit longer and the dorm life was a little easier. I kind of wish if you kept your grades really good and you didn't miss any days etc you could have your own bedroom but sadly that is not the case haha. The only thing I dislike is a lot of students are not as passionate as I. I want to work on group projects and become better with my art. Others don't seem to care at all... I'm not sure what I want to do when I graduate I just know that I definitely want to work on my art skills more and I want to leave Indiana.
Ping me please so I can respond to your messages~! <3
I'm planning on getting my Master's in Anthropology once I finish my Bachelor's degree in History. Do you like the major so far?
Do I count? I start college in 3 weeks! I plan on majoring in Creative Writing and Asian Culture/Languages!
I just switched from majoring in microbiology to a two year medical lab technician program. It's way cheaper and will probably be a lot easier to find a job tbh :/ also, just thinking about four more years of school makes me feel like crying. I've already have had a lot of issues with getting myself to go to class. alsjdflkjsd
