Hello there, I'm just curious if anyone else in the Subeta land rides horses? Here's a little bit about my horse life: I do not own one unfortunately, but I have loads of friends who ride horses. I mean LOADS, I started riding on my friends horse about 5 or 6 years ago she was a 14 hand little Welsh Cob. She truly kept me on my toes teaching me the ins and outs, she'd test me out by being stubborn and giving the odd buck. She was a great first horse to ride, then I moved into lessons on an amazing 16 hand Paint, I loved him to death, when I got comfortable on him I'd be running around the arena like nothing phased me. After him I moved to a spunky Appendix mare who was also awesome. Then my friend bought a Solid Paint horse, well, I think I'm a little too comfortable on him, he's my crash test horse, I'll try anything on him. From cutting, to barrels, to jumping, to my first bareback ride, and first gallop. Then, I leased my first horse, the perfect first horse for me a little spunky Quarter horse. I currently do ride western, not that I didn't try english, I did, but I was raised western so it's what I'm comfortable with.

If you have an horse life stories I'd love to hear them!

You sound quite daring in your horse adventures 8D I wish I could jump. I went to my friend's horse ranch once and it was pretty amazing, and I got to ride her horse Sparky. I thought it was pretty fun actually and I wish I could do it again x3

EGO postulo quispiam efficio. I need something to do.

When I have enough money, I would love nothing more than to own enough land to have a horse. We've always lived in the suburbs and the city officials generally don't take kindly to one keeping a horse in their backyard. XD The only horses I had were My Little Ponies. But I did get to go riding a couple times in Girl Scouts. The first horse I ever rode was named Shasta...she looked like Xena's horse, Argo, from Xena Warrior Princess, which I was really into at the time. She was very sweet and mild mannered. I would love to go riding again, but I don't have a lot of money or any friends that have horses. I did get to drive a buggy around Mackinac Island once though, a pretty black gelding...I don't remember his name, but I remember he was very shiny black and kept wanting to stop and nibble the trees. XD

Saddly, no. I used to as a wee kiddlet, got okay at it, small jumps and the like, but ended up giving it up. Going around and around and around in circles like the drives me mad, particularly when my dad tells me stories of how he learnt on his friend's horses out on the moors and things, THAT'S how I want to learn, even if it means falling off a few times (again). I miss riding to be honest, and I've been thinking about taking it up again, but I'd have to look for somewhere specific that teaches outside and not just in a paddock or something == As far as my history with horses goes I've fallen off ponies a couple of times as a kid, they love to stand on my feet, I don't like white horses and white horses don't like me, and I once managed to stick to a saddle when the horse I was on got startled by a car, reared up and turned right around. My teacher that day was totally flummoxed that I stayed on at the angle I was at, and it lead to a long running joke that I had super glue on my arse == I've not been near a horse since I was about 12 or something though P= I envy your experiences.
