mostly it's my managers "ok give them a refund" attitude because she'd rather give them a few bucks than hear them be upset over the situation.

First time a lady came in claiming the gas pump just stopped on her and wanted her money back for it because despite the receipt showing the amount of credit AND gallons pumped she wanted to say our pump was broken and NEEDED her money back. Manager said to give her the refund. None of us would have unless we had had other people present with issues, but nobody else did ALL DAY.

Then this one today. Had someone use our self serve car wash. Lady came in wanted me to open my drawer and just hand her out some cash. I said NO and asked what her issue had been. She told me she put some quarters in and they got spat back out and sp kept trying and used dollar bills and it worked fine with the bills but not her quarters. Asked her if she wanted to exchange change for more bills then. She quickly said no she wanted cash back. Asked her how much and she said she didn't know how much she had used in the machine. Uhhh right there red flag because 99% of people can easily tell you they spent x amount before they noticed they weren't getting anything (typically 2 or 3 bucks) and come in to get it resolved. Told the lady today that she'd have to wait for a manager and it would be a bit so if she'd leave her name, phone and amount she thought she had used we could get back to her. She left just her first name, a very common lady name at that, no last name, a phone number but no area code, and then of course didn't leave an amount she thought she used. Then she wanted me to find her a hose or a bucket and go take care of her car getting rinsed, yeah no not happening when I'm the only one working the shop. My thought is she just wanted a free car wash out of us like the lady who wanted free gas. I say this because of the fact paper money worked and she actually GOT her soapy water to wash her truck but when it was time for rinsing is I'm sure when she realized she ran out of cash and just wanted it to be on our dime. Anyway manager said to give her $2 back since she never said how much she used. I was like o.O REALLY? No body else would have given her a refund if she had told them she didn't know how much she spent, not a single penny. So now my register is messed up for the day. Best part is my manager got mad at me for not appeasing the "customer" but yet when we tried to call the lady it either goes to voicemail or says the call can't be completed...

FINALLY GOT THE 15K WARDROBE DONE!!!!! Next up gutting and selling it.
