I can accept when the kanis of the item hunt asks a ridicules expensive thing. It's just the risk of game.
But I think it's unfair when he asks an ritired item for years which is unpossible to find anymore, even you are the richest member.
For exemple this one:
Lucent Broken. It's even not to find in any kind of gallery O_o
I think it's better when he asks onley items you can still find.
You can still find those, there's ~6 or so around that occasionally show up in trades.
I like that IH is designed to ask for any item (after level 90 or whatever it is), makes his prize worthwhile. It also adds value to every single item, which is nice.
On another note, how would you programmatically separate the really really expensive items from the impossible items? You could do if a certain threshold of number in existence is met, but then you run into problems with newly released items, or plot shop items that may be easy to buy and just haven't been.
Totally agree with on this

Prize shops like Epicon, Epicon 2, Masquerade Plot Shop, the Reading Drive, Referral Shop, Blue Building, Recycle Beast Shop often are big offenders of being affordable, but not actually on the Shop Search.
I think Item Hunt is fine way it is. Luck and tons of money are needed.
What's the point if everyone's able to get through it on their first try? The Swashbuckle is worth ~300m+ IIRC, and you want to drop that down to nothing just because? No thanks.
Thank's for the info. There are shops and games I can't visit yet (like the blue building). Alright. It's just for me a matter of time and patient in that case.
Why can you get into trouble with new released items if you separate possible expensive items with items which are really impossible to find for the example they are already retired ten+> years ago?
I think this might be better suited for the help forum?

Item hunt really is fair game, but I think that as long as at least five of an item exist on the site, anything is okay (provided they are rarity 199 and below). Just so that items don't actually become extinct because of item hunt.
