This isn't the first time, second time or even just the third time that a Weekend Special Quest is announced in the News, and yet there's no special banner on the quest grantor, nor does the grantor give out WSQ rewards. It's a long time recurring problem.

I suggest that the code for this gets tweaked so that whomever sets these things (or the program that does?) can double check and see if it has actually been activated.

I was noticing that too. I was wondering why he was giving me normal quest items....

I mean, this has happened literally every time a quest is WSQ for the first time after being revamped. So at least after revamps, someone should check, no?

you say this is a game so take your place
then you set the mask upon your face
my silhouette in the air you trace
and the dagger performs with a start

I agree with this suggestion. I also think that if we miss a day of a special WSQ it should be extended to Monday. We know this is possible because the Library was put in at the SWQ rate for several days during the reading drive.

Unless it's on purpose...? o.o I have no idea how WQ works--how many days should we be getting? By weekend, do they mean Friday-Sunday? Because it seems more like Saturday-Sunday thanks to it not being set? Not sure if this is intentional or not... o.o

It's always Friday-Sunday. All other weekend quests that had no issues worked like that. Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Three days.

Finding it a little hard to think that since midnight last night, there have been no staff around to respond about this. But then, alerts are still messed up, have been all week, and I can't use my autopricer either, maybe it's something to do with that.

Well, thankfully just posted in the thread in Problems and Bugs that she is getting this looked into now.

Unfortunately, it's bullshit that the day is almost 3/4 of the way done, and staff is JUST NOW getting around to acknowledging and dealing with the issue.

Subeta is becoming a site where if you can't dedicate your life to playing, you are fucked. And that sucks. Where the hell have the programming staff been today? Why haven't they noticed this is broken?

I just got on, I'm really sorry for the delay. Once it's fixed, the quests are going to be reset today for anyone who has already done some of them!

- It's nearly 10PM in England. Looks like I'm going to miss out because of being in a different time zone. :( :(

FWIW I don't think this is something YOU should even be dealing with. I greatly appreciate that you got it fixed for us, but still really wonder why it took this long for someone to notice it needed fixing. Where are the programmers? Why aren't they checking the Problems and Bugs forums regularly?

Resetting is nice, but does nothing for those of us that are closing in on the time that we need to log off and go do other things. I just spent almost 7 hours on site, and now have to rush to finish my quests in the next hour when I should have been able to leisurely do them all day. Too bad you guys can't reset my entire day!

If anything, instead of fixating on your miniscule loss of sP you should feel bad that for whatever reason so much is on her plate right now. It seems like it's a bigger problem with how the site is able to be managed beyond her.

As JESSYTA said, it does feels like there aren't enough people able to deal with these issues. I know that's not necessarily something that can be fixed immediately and that some of these features are supposed to be activated automatically, but maybe a shared testing schedule could help catch these issues earlier in the meantime?

Since this problem has been going since midnight, I'm surprised that it was addressed at 4:49 SBT. isn't the only staff member who can make this kind of fix. Even if a staff member didn't have the power to fix the problem, he or she still could have reached out to someone who could much earlier.

Sometimes our schedules are a bit wonky and don't line up as well as we'd like, it's something we're working on! I am all about reliability and routine. Reporting bugs and getting things situated is part of my job actually!

I actually feel largely responsible for this because I sent an email to all programmers about it last night at 1am my time (4am Subeta time)--only to find it in my drafts when I got online just before I posted this afternoon. Don't know why my phone decided to be a jerkwad, but someone definitely would have fixed it sooner if my phone had behaved and they got the email. I was at work (at job of 3) this morning and didn't get a chance to follow up about it. I know at least a couple staffers who are celebrating the holiday, which may have contributed to why it didn't actually get reported sooner (could have just been bad timing, too!)--three of us ended up reporting it at almost exactly the same time this afternoon, it was already being worked on when I got here.

Thanks for your work and the open communication with users. It's understandable that the problem went unnoticed for so long if so many programmers were observing the religious holiday; I wouldn't expect them to be on Subeta in a synagogue. I appreciate what the artists, mods, and some staff do, but most of the problems on this site do seem to be ones on the programming and technical end.

I also just wanted to make it clear that I'm not trying to make excuses, nor do I know where anyone actually was last night or this morning. I just know that a couple are definitely at least taking part of today off. It could just as well have nothing to do with it, but I just wanted to throw that out there, because we do have several Jewish staff and I know at least a couple are observing in one way or another.

Looking into this for the future, absolutely.

- My post didn't come out quite how I intended it. I agree that the real problem is not enough people available to make sure that SWQs work a they should etc. Losing a small amount of sP and extra tokens is no big deal for rich players but it sucks for poorer players who happen to live in the wrong time zones.
