I've seen the transparent scroll bar done in a lot of profiles, I was curious how it was done? I don't want a hideous scroll bar messing up the look of the pet profile I made and I'm at a loss.

Also, how can I made my pet's background transparent? I've been trying to change background colors in the temp profiles (and heck, it'd be nice to stray away from the WHITE column backgrounds) and they pet always has a white BG.

Are you talking like a semi-transparent scrollbar or one that is hidden?

The pet images onsite have a white background. Depending on the pet you may be able to find a transparent version, if not you could probably ask someone (or maybe the artist) to remove the background.

I've looked around in posts for transparent backgrounds on pets... would I be able to simply remove the white BG myself (I have PS) and use that as an overlay? The rules on this are a bit grey (to me! I'm a bit blonde :3).

The thing with hidden scrollbars is that they are covered. Some people design in a scrollbar cover into their profiles and place that image over the scrollbar. With Lasting, they used part of the background with the carousel. Which can be done with PS.

It may take a few tries but with photoshop it is possible. Which pet were you looking to do?

If you're looking for someone to edit out a white bg I might be able to help =3 I don't think you can submit it to the overlay system to show up transparent across the site (though most areas of the site have white bgs anyway), but you could code it onto the pet's profile. It'd be worth submitting a ticket about the official system though, as only staff could answer that.

It's possible to have transparent scrollbars without a cover up, examples would be my pets Dappled and Eisen, although with them I only made the tracks transparent rather than the entire thing.
