Well, here on Subeta it's Fireside, a time to feel all cozy and happy as you get cute plushies and dragon eggs.
It's also, for parts of the Northern Hemisphere, the time when leaves begin to fall in piles of red and yellow joy, afternoons become more and more golden, and sipping hot chocolate or tea by the window is a perfect activity. So, what do you do to enjoy autumn? What sorts of things make you feel all warm and cozy?
I love to put on a jacket and scarf and just go walk and watch the falling leaves and enjoy the crisp air. What about you?
I like the smell of leaves burning (as long as the smoke's not too close/thick to bother my breathing). The first frost usually takes away most of my allergies, so that's good too. I love seeing the deer come to eat in our backyard when we put food out for them. Walking through the woods behind our house is fun too, especially when I get to see deer or other critters. I love that sweater and scarf weather's here too. And that all the coffee places start getting their winter flavors in.
Autumn is my favorite season but the weather this year has sucked. It went from super hot to super cold, with lots of rain throughout. Now it's too cold to really enjoy being outside, and most of the trees have lost their leaves. I love scarves and layering up and drinking hot chocolate and going on adventures but I haven't gotten to enjoy those very much.
Oh, that sounds like fun! I'm from a place with a lot of evergreens, so we never get enough fallen leaves to burn. We do get deer, though. They eat our garden.
Oh, yeah, weather shifts are a pain. Well, hopefully you'll get some good weather soon.
We've had frost a few times this year, but mostly it's been a warm and rainy autumn. I wish the weather would get colder already, because the woods and fields are really muddy from all the rain. I've seen some amazing sunsets, though, and the nature is really beautiful, and I see deer almost every day. ^_^ And I always get the urge to go camping in autumn, but I have no proper gear for that.
I usually look forward to autumn only because it means that winter is coming soon. I just love the feeling of being in my super warm blanket drawing on my tablet next to a giant window with the snow twirling and having a cup of tea near by.
And I love giant snow storms GOSH I AM EXCITED JUST THINKING ABOUT IT C:
I'm from southern CA we don't really get any weather changes... XD
Plus.. Taipei just rains everyday during the winter... so not exactly the most festive.
That said.. I do like all the food.. mmm.. pumpkin pie. Plus.. winter beverage season at starbucks.. yay for little pleasures.
