So there's this GOP politician who has been making very offensive tweets basically saying that being transgender is a mental illness that people choose to have. He goes on to say that he supports transgender individuals killing themselves.

I'll admit, I have a history of disapproving of homosexuality, transgenderism, and the like. But these days, not so much. I'm dating an mtf transgender (still wants to be referred to as my boyfriend, though), and I would be devastated if something happened to him because of dickholes like this.

Ah yes, perfect example of a person who should have power.

Way to not only stigmatize people who want to add/remove a penis as well as people with actual mental conditions like depression, bipolar and schizophrenia. This also implies that people with mental conditions should kill themselves. Another fucking fantastic idea, genius ass.

If you look at his twitter he legitimately sounds like a teenage internet troll. Apparently he's not actually in any position of power in the government anymore(no idea what he's doing now, though), but it's a wonder anyone ever took him seriously when he was.
