Yes you can! :) Though I think Galactic is fairly cheap and easy to change a pet to? You just have to wait for the right day of the month.

If I can figure out the Galactic quest I'm good. Just not 100% sure on how it works.

As Quetz said it should be possible however with the Steamwork Key Stone Mold only costing ~4mil sP at the moment I'd suggest you to save up for your Steamwork Pet and keep the Loyalty Totem for something more expensive...like Angelic in case your Totem is already the Potion Totem.
