You have GOT to be kidding me.
Well... I suppose it IS Georgia... which started out as a penal colony....

lmao. this whole thing is so ridiculous; the idea of the KKK buying a single cake for their birthday party makes me laugh. that being said I'm pretty sure this news article is satire
Don't get me wrong, I well understand the legality issues.
It's just the downright irony of the whole thing....

I agree. The irony is almost overwhelming. x.x
KKK, where hypocrites go to be racist! If your organization's entire point is to encourage discrimination and prejudice you need to shut your fucking mouth when you get discriminated against. Fuck you KKK, you're tacky and I hate you.

Nah, it's tagged satire. It's fake. And Georgia wasn't a penal colony. It was planned to be a debtor's colony, but that didn't last more than a couple of years (the trustees decided pretty fast that people who were useless in England would be useless in Georgia too).
Thanks for saying it was tagged, because otherwise I probably would have just gone on an explosive cluster f-bomb after some other articles I've seen around. This would have been the slight that induced the rant.
So, does anyone think it would be hilarious if they, having seen this, actually tried it and lost?
I'm personally grateful for the freedom of speech that even goes so far to protect speech like this. That being said, there are far too many news hoaxes, satirical pieces, and badly sourced articles being posted in this subforum lately. A little critical reading doesn't hurt.

Saw you were told already, but it's like the Onion... fake news that is depressing because it sounds all too much like it could be real c:
Also, in this case it really couldn't be... the legitimate business interest of "not being associated with a hate group" would give the owner the right to refuse service in most states, especially since the KKK isn't usually recognized as a true 'church' and therefor a protected class. They have the right to Free Speech (as does any individual citizen) but not the right to be served by a private business... the two are not connected.
