Do you think the ratio of females to males is greater on this site?
@ leelee812 According to staff, the number of females is way higher (hence the severe lack of male wearables, even though a considerable number of those females make both or just male avatars). How much higher though, I don't know
the last self-reporting poll I saw three years ago showed around 82 percent female. The meetup 2 years ago in Anaheim I was at, there was even a higher percentage of females, users dragged in brought along their husbands/boyfriends/male cousins to the meet and ate with us, but not so many of those men actually play here much.
I never use 'he' or 'they' if I can't tell the gender of the person I'm talking or referring to here and use 'she' instead, because the chance of me being right is much higher than chance. You can sometimes tell a person's gender by looking at their User Profile, unless like me they declined to answer. That said, once I do learn someone's gender, I try to refer to them by their preferred choice no matter what they look like.
