I'm not sure if this topic in the right forum.
Anyway, I think it's not easy to remember all the numbers of the experiments.
So what do you think if the experiments gets names too?
For example:
Experiment
Croder or Spydile. It's a mix of a crocodile and a spider.
Experiment
Merrorstake, because this pet is always show when there is some error or some little mistake.
Experiment
Cyros, because it does me think of a cyborg-rinoceros.
Experiment
Neotony. It does me think of a specie who continues be a larf if it's an adult, like Axolotl's. This fenomen is called neotony.
Well feel free if you want give names by experiments you think about.
@ Tijd001 Interesting but I think that if you gave them names they would seem more like species, which would kind of defeat the point of them being these isolated creature things that can only be obtained from the zapper - some people might raise the question of "Why don't we have a Reborn Neotony?" or "Why isn't there a sweetheart Croder?" (for the sake of example).
I think it's better for them to keep the Experiment # names - the names are recognizable enough now if you've been playing long enough. For instance, I'd say that the majority of people know what the and look like. :P
Let me qeuss The blue horse with a beak who sits and has a tail of a peacock. The pink dragon with collar-aers. It's spread out and watch at you.
Big chance I quess wrong.
To be honest I don't remember how looks a like they are without picture. ;)
@ Tijd001 You got the first one right! It's pretty recognizable. :D
You're right that it's hard to guess a lot of them, especially the more obscure ones, so I definitely get what you're suggesting. It could be argued that the numbers already count as names though
[edit] Mmm, I think because the experiments are just that - experiments, and they aren't modified into different colors because they AREN'T species. I'm not sure though.
They are definitely species. They can be colored Scribble and Common, so they have two possible colors. To get an Experiment from a Cash Shop potion, you'd have to use the species changing one. The color changing Loyalty Box Totem will not work to get you one.
The reason for not "just making them reborn or sun etc" is because already there's a lot of subetapets. Each and every additional species that comes in all the colors that is added to site adds a lot of artwork that needs to be done.
If you're having difficulties, Copy the Experiment's number, and then Paste the number where you need it.
We kind of love the names that you guys come up with for them, I wouldn't want to start naming them ourselves!
I personally prefer the numbers over names even though those you have in the OP are nice...well, except for Neotony, no idea why but that one made me laugh.
Experiments are supposed to be weird lab experiments gone wrong though, and giving them species names kind of breaks that illusion for me. Yes, I don't remember all the numbers, but I actually prefer that they stay numbers just because they fit the idea of them being random lab specimens that were created by a mad scientist in a lab.
When Experiment 626 was renamed to Stitch, it became less of a gross, heartless experiment and more a lovable creature with feelings, purpose, and desires. I think that's what most people are essentially getting at.
,
You mean common experiment ?

No, I mean Stitch, from the disney movie, .
,
Ah I see. I haven't seen all Disney-movie's.
Well, It's an example from a disney-movie and a such of event like that with Stitch, could be possible happen on Subeta too. Is that what you mean?
What I mean is that I think most people would prefer the idea of the numbers, seeing as it makes them seem almost... dangerous? Giving them a name would sort of remove that quality, I think.
It could be problably. Personal I look more with a nutral, opend mind to all pet's in the case if they are dangerous or not.
Tbh, I prefer the experiment numbers. It gives credit to their origin, and it's pretty neutral, too. A species name would have to be specific, and I can imagine that a lot of people would disagree with each other about what fits the pets and what doesn't, and it would cause more trouble than happiness, I guess. For example, I own a and I love it, but I strongly dislike "Neotony" as a name - what is that even supposed to be - and would be angry to see it suddenly turn up on my pet page.
