how to I re-ping when i already pinged a post?

Not positive this will work, but in the old forums you needed to edit out the ping and then save the post. Then edit the post again, re-adding the ping.

However, the way pings have been misbehaving in the new forums, there's no way to be sure if the pings will work as they are supposed to. You might have to end up making a new post, and from there you could direct pingees to the OP.

Edit: I'm editing a post with a ping in and I'm assuming that you will only receive one ping, the original time I posted.

Edit 2: I'm removing the ping from the post.

Edit 3: I'm adding in the ping again. - so how many pings did you get?
