A few weeks ago I had a very real and terrifying dream that I was abducted by creatures. They were cutting into my body as I was watching, screaming silently. My fiance woke me up and I was hysterical, crying and all the works. I only remember waking up once, but i guess I was talking in my sleep and crying all night.

I havent had a dream that bad since, but these creatures keep appearing in my dreams. They take me away and "re-model" me and make me a more efficient human being. In my dream I call them aliens, but they dont look like aliens.

I havent changed anything in my life except my eating habits, which are healthier. The dreams arent as scary now, just repetitive and still so real.

Am I going insane or what? lol I just dont know what i could do to make these dreams stop. Any ideas?

You said you're eating healthier and that these 'aliens' are remodeling you. It could be a fear of change, or a worry about how you look now and if the new way of eating will work right. I am not a dream analyzer but sometimes our concerns come out in the weirdest of places.

I started eating right after the nightmares. They became less frightening. I guess its my bodys way of pushing myself c:

, that seems about right. Dreams are often times a projection of our waking realities. If it was your body telling you to push yourself it may have been a reminder that if you don't change your lifestyle, more drastic and less pleasant measures may have to be taken. I don't know what your circumstances are in life but I know when I've had dental problems in the past, I often had horrific dreams about chewing my own teeth out, which I always understood to be a reminder that if I don't do something soon, things can only going get worse.

Lucid dreaming to alter the course of the dream is one suggestion (if they're not as frightening anymore, it may not be an issue), although another one may be to pick up some kind of exercise routine or re-analyze other health conscious habits in your life. Like Die said, it could also be some kind of waking insecurity with the way your body or how you feel about yourself. Then again, it could also just be a really scary dream. I'm no dream analyzer but that's my two cents.
