I'm not a computer genius or anything, but my computer has a virus detector that keeps telling me about some "Trojan" virus. I tried to get rib of it, but the thing I have to use costs a hell of a lot of money and I thought it was activated a long time ago. Any Alternatives for getting rid of this with losing all of my information?

Best thing to do would be to back everything up on a disk/external HD and then reboot the system.

I don't really have any credit card information or the like on this computer. I'm just worried about my passwords getting stolen.
