Would it be possible to create a BBCode tag like [*trade=34293249023] that would link directly to a trade lot? I could see it being very useful for Buy/Sell boards.

A lot of people just post the number, and then the searching is up to the paying user. If there could be something like [], then all it would really take is a set of brackets, and it would save a few minutes.

I'm thinking, as a way to distinguish, it could be like the hover feature for usernames - hovering would show you the item(s) for trade, and its description.

I can see your point but I really don't think it would save minutes. Maybe a few seconds but not really enough time to justify really needing this feature.

because I don't see the real need for it. I mean if people really want it, I'm not going to be like "GOD DAMN IT, WHAT A WASTE!" when it happens. But I think that it's not really needed since the url code works fine. There are far more important things I would like to see implemented & fixed on the site before something like this, thats all :)

Well yeah definitely, there's more important things that need to be done. But if sticking in a code like this would take like maybe 15 minutes max then it won't affect the important things that need to be done.

Also, most people don't use the url codes, they just paste the lot number. Hell, I've been on this site for years and I don't know how to get the direct url of the trade, I'd have to fiddle with it for a minute to find it. It's not a significant time difference, but being able to do [*trade=] is still faster than finding the url and typing in the code imo.

Nobody really you know..puts the url for the trade lot for buy/sell boards. So, i see this will be a really neat feature if implemented.

I don't see a need for it, but it would be incredibly convenient for a group of users, so I don't see the harm in doing it if it's easy enough to implement. It'd just be a neat little convenient feature.
